Error Applying UEFI image to Dell laptop
By krdell,
I am attempting to apply a UEFI Win10 image using USB boot media with x64 boot image. I have set the BIOS to the following:
-Disable legacy options ROMs
-Boot list option is set to UEFI under boot sequence
-Secure boot is enabled
In other words, all legacy boot options have been disabled and set to UEFI. I have attached an image of my task sequence, specifically the partitioning step where I think I may be having the problem. The task sequences fails just after the apply i
PXE restarts at "Preparing network connections"
By Robhar,
Hello everyone,
I'm currently trying to learn about SCCM and deploying Windows 10 using PXE and MDT, however my clients never seem to get to the task sequence part, instead they just reboot when it says "Preparing network connections". I am able to stop the reboot by pressing F8 and it shows I have an ip, disk looks good using diskpart, can ping sccm fqdn and I'm able to use net use to map a share.
I have crawled every possible forum and posts and nothing seems to help, and I really fe
OSD Upgrade Pre-Cache
By MikeA,
Hi all, I see the pre-cache feature for an OS upgrade Task Sequence was implemented as pre-release in CB 1611 and is still in pre-release in CB 1706. Do you know if this will become a released feature some time soon? Has anyone used it successfully, even though it's in pre-release? Thanks!
Remote DP failed to distribute content
By iamrufus,
Hi guys,
Having a slight issue trying to get a remote DP up and running, as far as I am aware i have set this up correctly. I installed the IIS role on the new server before i ran the DP install to this server from the primary server. I installed all the pre reqs that the web seems to state across various articles i.e WMI compatibility etc. Opened up firewall ports 445/135/49152-65535 on the new DP server and also installed the WDS server role but I didnt set the PXE option up during the DP

any way to stick a pre-start command to a PXE boot image?

Custom Distribution Point Shares Copied to New DP
By robemann83,
Hi All,
Hoping someone can help point me in the right direction.
I am replacing old 2008 R2 MP/DPs with new 2016 Servers.
The old servers have custom shares on the root of the DP Drive(TOOLS$ for example).
These custom Shares are copied over as a result of adding the new DPs into the DP Groups to update content.
There is no Package Deployment in SCCM to create these shares on the new DP. Nothing is deployed to any of the Collections that these DPs are a part of that create th
Win 7 to 1703/1709 Hard Block - Intel Graphics
By duberry_wotsit,
Hi,
I am deploying in-place upgrades to many systems using standard task sequence. This has been working well with version 1607, I've done over 1,500 machines this way. I have tried to switch to use the 1703 or 1709 media however on system models which were fine with 1607 we now see them fail with a hard block due to having older Intel HD Graphics. Systems with this issue include HP EliteDesk 800 G1 range.
I cannot get the block to be ignored using the options in ConfigMgr and I'm n
