SCCM 1706 Console Installer Files?
By BryanP,
Does anyone know where the installation files for the SCCM Console for 1706 are located? One of my coworkers updated us from 1610 to 1706 this past weekend. The automatic update when you start the console works fine, but I need to be able to deploy it as an application. I was able to get it out of 1610, but I am unable to locate it in 1706.
I found what appeared to be it under \SMSPKGSIG\xxxxxxxx\SMSSETUP\BIN\I386, but when I attempt to run the consolesetup.exe from that folder, it tel
CB 1706 PXE boot
By khawkins,
Hi all,
I have been working on an issue for the last week relating to PXE booting . It seems to have happened when upgrading to 1706 CB and ADK 1709. I have updated the boot image in sccm and imported the new boot into WDS. All devices boot into PXE but restart after preparing network connections. F8 shows I am getting a valid IP and can ping the DP\PXE server.
The boot image is 10.0.16299.
We use Dell devices (E7450 Opti 9020 etc)
Error
Failed to download
Could not write registry key
By sacaliabu,
After updating sccm to 1706 I started getting this error on the component status.
Has anyone has an idea about it?
Could not write registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS\Components\SMS_AZUREAD_DISCOVERY_AGENT\" on computer computername.blabla.com.
I already reconfirmed that the computer account for the sccm server has the permissions on the AD folder. It was working fine until i did the last update.
Thank you.
Windows Updates and Baselines, ADRs, etc
By Jeff May-Stahl,
I am setting up SCCM CB for software updates and have a question. I have set up several baselines and also some ADRs. I was wondering though, after I did it, what the best practice is with Windows 10 updates. I did not include the Cumulative Updates in the baseline, assuming they'll get done through the ADRs but now I am wondering if I should. What is the rule of thumb here?
Thanks!
Moving DP from 2008 to 2016
By Kevin79,
I want to get rid of my 2008R2 distribution points so that I can upgrade to SCCM 1702. I created new servers with 2016 on them and used a powershell script to export (create prestaged content) the content from my old DPs. I then added the new DP's to my Distribution Point Group and imported the data using extractcontent.exe /P:<packagelocation> /F. The SCCM Console shows that the package is on the server but if I look at the "Distribution Point Job Queue Manager", it says the job is queued
BITS on DPs?
By Kevin79,
Does the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) need to run on my DPs? I installed a new 2016 server to configure as a distribution point. By default, the BITS service is installed and set to Automatic (Delayed). The service won't stay running though and I'm wondering if that is an issue.

SCCM Express settings for Windows 10
By Nobilus,
I am looking for information about Windows 10 Express settings with SCCM. I have read some blogs and come away with a bad feeling about it. Is anyone using this? Are there any doubts as perceived? I would like to turn this on but would also like to know it works without issues.
