    SCCM Install Advice

    Jeff May-Stahl
    By Jeff May-Stahl,
We currently have a functional SCCM environment in our organization. We have a primary site server running Server '08, SCCM 2012. It is functional but messy.  I am wanting to install SCCM CB on a new Server 2016 from scratch and take down the old. I have installed a lab environment successfully. My concern lies in installing a new environment when an old one already exists. How will it impact me and what steps do I need to watch out for when installing the new environment when there is alre

Deleted Drivers Appear In TS Deployment

    By loon,
Strange issue I cannot find any posts about. I deleted some obsolete driver packages, then the drivers, and then the data files and they still appear in the Task Sequence deployment. Tried a few different script out there to delete driver packages and the did not see them either. Restarts and no success in removing them from the TS Deployment. Server: Windows 2012 R2 SCCM CB 1702, WADK 10.1.15063, MDT 6.3.8443.1000,  and SQL 2014 in 2012 mode Thank you.

    By txhockeyman,
I've read some varying info on deploying applications using variables. What I'm trying to do is that lets day I have a machine name "PD-000001" and one named "EH-000001"  i'd like to install a certain set of applications based upon the first two or three characters of the computer's name which indicates the department the computer is in. Anyone have any good reading on this or have done it?   Thanks!

    By whoishomer1,
So all of my servers and clients have been using SCCM current branch without issue for updates.  I manually updated a windows 10 clients to the creators built and the latest build of Windows 2016. now all my SCCM settings seem to be getting ignored and the windows 10 creators built and latest build of Windows 2016 are all downloading/installing windows update directly from windows update.  They are also rebooting whenever they feel like.   I have tried using sconfig on the servers

    Isolated network troubles

    bmkiss67
    By bmkiss67,
We have an isolated network with current branch(1606) installed and it does not work.  It sees clients and it knows what updates the clients need, but nothing seems to get pushed to the clients.  I’ve not had many issues using SCCM 2007 and 2012 in the same network so I don’t have a lot of trouble shooting experience.  From my little experience I can’t figure out what’s wrong.  Any suggestions on where to start looking?  Any ideas would be highly appreciated.   Thank you

    Test WMI Queries

    ImaNewb
    By ImaNewb,
This may be a stupid question but I am trying to determine how to test WMI Queries in SCCM. Example: I want to target Driver Packages for Make/Model in OSD Task Sequences I read several forums on how to set them in a TS but I would like to confirm the query is correct by pulling results from the SCCM DB if that is possible. Perhaps I need to run it on the machines themselves in WBEMTEST.exe   Could anyone point me in the right direction on how to accomplish? I greatly appreci
