updates not working
By Abusby,
Hi,
I've made 3 update assignments and none of them work.
1 is a group of office 2013 updates.
1 is a group of Windows 10 updates
1 is a Windows CBB servicing update.
All 3 of them on all machines will not deploy, all showing the following (completely unhelpful error)
Job error (0x80240fff) received for assignment ({ABE835FB-72F0-4139-B819-3A04322EA971}) action UpdatesDeploymentAgent 20/04/2017 08:04:08 6080 (0x17C0)
Updates will not be made available
Win 10 Servicing - Mixed messages from Microsoft!!
By PHGustavsson,
I'm REALLY confused right now.
I've think I followed the "Steps to manage updates for Windows 10" guide to the letter (https://technet.microsoft.com/itpro/windows/update/waas-deployment-rings-windows-10-updates).
I changed in two GPO's to Defer Updates. One for all clients in production, that was set to Current Branch for Business and to wait 90 days after the release of a new CBB version. The other one is for the test clients, that was set to Current Branch, and wait 30 days.
Then I
Windows 10 Servicing Rule Failure
By txhockeyman,
I had setup a Servicing rule to update Current Branch machines to Creators version. Everything looked fine.
Our Sync ran which kicked off the rule and I noticed this morning there was a problem with it. I did not see any Software Update Group get created and found the following in patchdownloader.log

Unable to apply 1702 hotfix KB4018732
By spyder,
We we're early adopters of 1702, and when the hotfix (KB4018732) arrived I wanted to apply it. I started to download it, but when I checked back later it still says Available to download and every option is greyed out. See screenshot in link below.

Is there an easy fix for this? SMS_EXECUTIVE is restarted (as well as the whole site server).
Cheers,

Overlapping boundaries
By abhi1411,
Hi All,
We had removed our one of the secondary sites from SCCM hierarchy almost year back, but now we are getting issues related to overlapping boundaries. on checking the boundaries, boundaries shown in RAP report doesn't exist in SCCM console. I had also checked system management container in AD, There was entry for the old removed secondary site which is now removed from AD. I am still getting issues related to overlapping boundaries. one more thing is I am also seeing some entries for
Config Mgr updates stuck at installing/checking preReq's
By milisivana,
Hello all!ConfigMgrPrereq.log
I've done quite a bit of searches here and elsewhere on the net. I didn't realize I could go straight to 1702 and was upgrading from 1602 to 1602 hotfix and then the other hotfix. The first one got stuck at "installing"...that was a space issue. I now have 200gb of free space on the drive.
Currently my problem is it's hanging at "Checking Prereq...".
I've checked our antivirus (McAfee) and firewall rules...it's on a local domain so there are no fir
Duplicate Drivers? How to reduce footprint?
By xerxes2985,
Good Afternoon everyone,
Currently my shop uses 95% Dell computers and there are varying models however I have noticed a large overlap of drivers while utilizing the Dell Driver CAB's between different models.
Right now, I have 11 different driver packages that total 15.6 GB, and my source location for the drivers (another drive on the same server) totals 15.6 GB as well. What I would like to do is delete all the duplicate drivers, yet make sure that all of my packages are able to stil
Importing Drivers During Production Hours?
By allenr74,
Is it safe to import drivers into SCCM during production hours? We're getting new models in this week and I've always imported drivers on the weekend after business hours for fear of corrupting current production task sequences. Am I correct in importing and creating driver packages only after business hours?
