SCCM OSD target has internal RAID card plus HBA or External RAID for storage, how to target the RAID volumes?

    trevmac77
    By trevmac77,
Hi, I've set up some task sequences which work great, however in our environment we have many servers that are attached to storage with Emulex HBAs, or LSIs. How do I ensure that I can target the volumes on my internal RAID card so that C is actually on the drive I want, ie volume 0 is volume 0 on my H700 RAID, not a 4TB drive on my Super Micro Array. Currently I just unplug external connectors so the volumes won't be seen during installation and then just plug them back in which works

SCCM Task Media failing on Dynamics Apps

    gomezar
    By gomezar,
Good Afternoon everyone, I'm using a MDT Task Sequence in SCCM to build Windows 7, inside the task sequence there are several Drive Applications packages that are deployed using the Dynamic application option of Install Application in TS. The variables are set on the "All Unknown Computers" collection and this works perfectly when booting into PXE. I wanted to transfer this process to a bootable media and was able to create the ISO. The build seems to deploy the image and inject the drivers

Good day everyone, I would like to pick the brain of the proverbial community think-tank here on the forums. The product We are looking at purchasing a number of (what I am calling) WInBooks for students (Dell 3180's, Lenovo N22, etc).  These are basically Windows 10 versions of their ChromeBook counterparts.  11" screens, Celeron/Pentium procs, 4GB RAM with 64/128GB SSD's...and wireless only.   The IDEAL solution Generally speaking, I think the solution to provisio

    PXE BCD Error

    txhockeyman
    By txhockeyman,
PXE had been working, installed update today for the latest hotfix regarding KB4016483. After this update, PXE is no longer working and gives a BCD error when trying to boot.  Hopefully someone has an answer for this as it is getting frustrating.   The Windows Boot Configuration Data (BCD) file from the PXE Server does not contain a valid operating System entry. Ensure that the Server has boot Images installed for this architecture.   File:\Tmp\x86x64{abc123}.bcd Er

How can I forcefully upgrade Windows 7 or Windows 10 to the latest version of Windows 10 using System Center Configuration Manager (Current Branch)?

    anyweb
    By anyweb,
Note: I've upgraded the wrapper to PowerShell 2019/01/06 as explained here. Introduction This blog post is all about upgrading to Windows 10, either from Windows 7 or from an earlier release of Windows 10 to the latest release of Windows 10. Windows 10 is probably one of the fastest developing operating systems from Microsoft yet, and was initially released in July 2015 as Windows 10 version 1507. The version 1507 nomenclature equates to (YYMM) or year year, month month so you'll
