Compliance check GPO with WQL
By Fraeco,
Hi!
I'm trying to get compliance going because of an ongoing audit on our servers. One of the requirements is that a certain GPO is applied. I figured I'd query the ROOT\RSOP\COMPUTER namespace for RSOP_GPO. This class has the GPO name and it's enabled/disabled state.
I tried my WMI query and below powershell snippet returns me the GPO's that are listed in a GPRESULT on the server.
$query = "Select name,enabled from RSOP_GPO where enabled = true"
$namespace = "ROOT\RSOP\COMPUTER"

Why Telemetry is great, and why the uptake of Configuration Manager Current Branch is unprecedented
By anyweb,
Introduction
Brad Anderson (corporate vice president for Enterprise Mobility at Microsoft) wrote a blog post today about “What ConfigMgr Customers were Doing During the 2016 Holiday Break” and it revealed how the answer to a question posed by their own staff internally, was answered, here is that question.
How many upgrades will there be during the last two weeks of the year?
Online Telemetry offered the answer
The answer, it turns out, came quickly via telemetry as customers upgrade
Extra System records
By Config Manager Manager,
So, I have about 2200 actual PC's that I manage, however it shows about 3500 "all systems" PC's with around 1300 Showing "All Systems - No Client".
98% of these PC's are not ping-able and show no host found in my RCT Recast tools add-on under ping collection. There are no records in AD for these, as well as DNS. As far as I can tell, I have little to none duplicate GUIDS after running every query under the sun.
Has anyone seen such a thing? My discovery is set to only discover PC's t
1606 -- 1610 Upgrade High CPU on DP
By WAZZIE,
Hi All
I have now built 2 labs over Christmas period, both labs were 4 box solutions which work perfectly on 1606 from baseline media. Got them all working. deployments of software, osd patches everything I needed.
Initial lab was on server 2012 r2 and sql 2012 - all service packed and patched up.
Worked fine on 1606 - upgraded to 1610 and I get high CPU on smsexec on the box which functions as a DP (role)

Is Get-CMalert broken, or am I misunderstanding something?
By Jaybone,
I could find approximately nothing with Google, other than the standard documentation, which is either wrong, or I'm completely misunderstanding.
From its own help:
SYNOPSIS
Gets Configuration Manager alerts.
Example 1: Get all alerts
PS C:\> Get-CMAlert
Except it doesn't. It misses a ton of them. On our new 1606 site, it returns only 17 of 28 alerts, and none of the ones I'm actually interested in (SCEP alerts). In another forest with 2012 R2 + CU3, it returns 186 of
