when you say it stops working, what errors are you seeing ? -
does your reply mean that YES you have Uninstalled your secondary site successfully, or NO you could not uninstall the secondary site, which is it ?, i'm having a hard time understanding you...
-
there's lots of errors like this so, how are you starting the migration ? in windows ? if so are you running it as a Local administrator ?

to enable HTA support in Configuration Manager 2012 boot images you can check the optional components tab of the boot image and see is HTML (WinPE-HTA) loaded, in addition for Database connections you'll probably want to add Database (WinPE-MDAC)

i didn't say remove the role, i said Uninstall the Secondary site, have you tried that ?
-
yes all what ? I don't understand your point....

basically we use the first created ADR to create the Endpoint Protection Definition Updates package, once created, we then disable that ADR (because of the way we created it purely to create a NEW deployment package...) then we create another ADR practically matching the first except instead of creating a new package we point it to the package created in the first (now disabled) ADR. does that help ?
-
what do you mean 'this is for all child sites' ? secondaries don't have child sites...
-
are you using computer association to import the server 2012 computers also ?
-
I haven't tried using an ADR to download these updates as they are targetted for UNC shares so getting the updates via Configuration Manager is not part of this deal, we already know that getting updates via ADR's works fine, UNC based updates are a special case scenario the method of installing updates via a UNC share is (for example) to help install updates on servers that don't have an internet connection, so in that respect you could say that yes they are not part of normal Configuration Manager updates, and that is why you should use a script to automate the frequency and download of these updates (for UNC shares) cheers niall

you already opened another post about this, it is by design, have you tried uninstalling the secondary site ?
-
Cannot remove management point Remove role is greyed out
anyweb replied to Fray's question in How do I ?
it sounds like it's by design, why do you want to remove the MP ? have you considered uninstalling the secondary altogether ?
