  10. there's lots of errors like this so, how are you starting the migration ? in windows ? if so are you running it as a Local administrator ?
  11. no there wasn't any technical reason, you can use bootable media however that will most definetly require network access throughout the task sequence whereas standalone won't (apart from the domain join)
  12. to enable HTA support in Configuration Manager 2012 boot images you can check the optional components tab of the boot image and see is HTML (WinPE-HTA) loaded, in addition for Database connections you'll probably want to add Database (WinPE-MDAC)

  16. ok i shutdown my Surface Pro, connected the 8gb kingston data traveller directly to my usb port, pressed and held down volume down on the left of the surface, and then briefly pressed the power button, it booted from my usb key the key is formatted by configmgr and is FAT32

  18. if i get time this evening i'll examine (and test booting from) my usb key, i'll also verify the file format on it for you guys.,..
  19. basically we use the first created ADR to create the Endpoint Protection Definition Updates package, once created, we then disable that ADR (because of the way we created it purely to create a NEW deployment package...) then we create another ADR practically matching the first except instead of creating a new package we point it to the package created in the first (now disabled) ADR. does that help ?
  20. how big are the USB key's you guys are using, I tested with an 8gb key.
