  1. Hi, Thank you for the suggestion. I tried to upgrade to WAIK 3.1 using the supplement, it did not change anything. I tried to reinstall the WAIK once again, no change. It looks like WAIK is working, I’m able to create boot image, inject drivers and packages etc. I have tried the guide from this page: https://www.sit.auckland.ac.nz/Create_a_custom_boot_image Currently I’m wondering if my only option is the reinstall the SCCM, and recover the database. Dose anyone has a good guide to reinstall and recover a SCCM server ? Regards Bjørnar
  2. Hi, I have big problem with my SCCM environment, I have read numerous of forums and tried many different suggestions. This is my setup and problem, hope someone can help me. SCCM 2007 SP2 running on Windows 2008 standard (32 bit), using a local MS SQL 2005 server. When trying to update the boot Image the following error occur (both on x86 and x64): The wizard detected the following problems when updating the boot image. • Failed to install required packages into to the boot image Failed to install required packages into to the boot image Failed to install required packages into to the boot image Failed to install required packages into to the boot image Failed to install required packages into to the boot image Failed to install required packages into to the boot image Failed to install required packages into to the boot image The ConfigMgr Provider reported an error.: ConfigMgr Error Object: instance of SMS_ExtendedStatus { Description = "Failed to insert OSD binaries into the WIM file"; ErrorCode = 2152205056; File = "e:\\nts_sms_fre\\sms\\siteserver\\sdk_provider\\smsprov\\sspbootimagepackage.cpp"; Line = 4262; ObjectInfo = "CSspBootImagePackage::PreRefreshPkgSrcHook"; Operation = "ExecMethod"; ParameterInfo = "SMS_BootImagePackage.PackageID=\"S0100001\""; ProviderName = "WinMgmt"; StatusCode = 2147749889; }; I have tried the following: • Re installed WAIK • Re installing SP2 on SCCM • Cleaning up drivers/drive packages • Created new boot image with WAIK o Adding new boot image to SCCM gives the following error (I have imported the same boot image to a different SCCM in a different domain with no errors, so the error is in SCCM): Error: Data Source Information Source location: \\Sccm03001\sms_s01\OSD\boot\x86\winpe.wim Boot Image: 1 - Microsoft Windows PE (x86) Error: Package Information Name: winpe Error: Errors You can not import this boot image. Only finalized boot images are supported. For more information press F1. Hope anyone has any suggestions. Regards bja
