I know Office can take a very long time to install, is this a Build & Capture TS? If not i can recommend that you design office with the Customizing Tool and they include it in you standard .wim file. Somehow it goes faster to install it like that, then to have it as a separate Application in the TS. When i did a BC with Office 2013 and with all products, it took 90Minutes to finish just that step.

It will give you this oldschool viewer:

There is always the SMSTS.log. But what you may me looking for is what was called "Advertisment logs" in SCCM2007, since the "Deployments" section don't give you that much information. Here is how you can open the "Advertisments logs" for TS: Look at your Task Sequence "Package ID" write it down or copy it. Go to Monitor tab in the console > System Status > Status Message Queries > All status Messages for a Specific Package at a specific site And then enter the package ID + Site + time interval: This works with Deployments, packages ID and collection ID.

ELO ROCKETMAN Have you added the "Default Application Catalog website point" in the Client Settings > Computer Agent" and also added "Add deafult Application Catalog website to internet Explorer trusted sites zone" in the same Client setting. Also what i had to do was creating a GPO that added the Application Catalog URL to the Local intranet instead of the "Trusted sites". You can first try add it on a client computer and test it! I have my in swedish but i hope you get it anyway :

Using SCCM as a tool for the helpdesk
Kingen replied to Chadwill's topic in Configuration Manager 2012
This sound very custom to me, i don't know how to do it myself, but i know in my country there is a couple of company's who do this kind of custom stuff with system center products. They take data from what they like in SCCM etc and presentate it in a webinterface for helpdesk users, also they can do limited configuration. I think it's all built on powershell and wmi integration. Like SCCM > Powershell > HTML. -
Complex SCCM Problem, Wrong boot image...
Kingen replied to haris2887's topic in Configuration Manager 2012
You can deploy both x86 and x64 applications with a x64 and a x86. But you can not OSD a 32bit operating system on a 64bit bootimage. -
Complex SCCM Problem, Wrong boot image...

I would only deploy the x86 bootimage if you have 32bits OS, it works with both x64 and x86. -
OSD Fails when installing the first package/application
Kingen replied to P.Keen's topic in Configuration Manager 2012
Hello P.Keen, what anyweb means is that you could exclude a "laptop collection" from the one collection you want to deploy your TS to. First you create a Collection with Laptops in it. Then you add in your TS collection to exclude the laptop collection. Then the TS will be able to only desktop computers. http://security.crudtastic.com/?p=144 http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmgrinventory/thread/75288b97-1fe6-4634-a20a-54091bba8d91 -

OSD Deployment x 2 on one collection?
Kingen replied to P.Keen's topic in Configuration Manager 2012
Is this what you are thinking about: http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/6456-how-can-i-deploy-a-hidden-task-sequence-in-configuration-manager-2012-sp1/ ? -
Im not sure but I would create a boundary group, and assign the new DP to that. Or maybee create a Distrubution Point Group and assign the DP and a collection with computers that should use it. Im not 100% sure, but someone may correct me.

Thank you for taking your time I did create new TS new Collections, tried with both x86 and x64 boot image. I did try with Eng 8 Enterprise & Swe 8 Enterprise install.wim. But nothing.. Lucky this is a LAB and i was able to capture win8 with MDT2012. As you can see now i have Win8 With Office2013. But when i install it in production it would be nice if i could capture Windows 8 with SCCM.

SCCM 2007 to 2012 Migration - What have I gotten into!?!
Kingen replied to Zoriphus's topic in Configuration Manager 2012
Setup 3-4 labs, and you will be able to master the SCCM2012. At first nothing makes sense, but after a while everything does (almost). The windows noob guides, are really easy to follow and will help you setup your first lab in 1-2days. Good luck mate ! : ) -
Installting SCCM 2012 in a small production network
Kingen replied to mkhan's topic in Configuration Manager 2012
I have a lab environment, that has 1 Primary SCCM and 20 client's and the SCCM-server eats 5,23GB now and it's freshly restarted, it did eat 6-7GB before i restarted it. I guess it depends on how many roles you install to your CM server, i have 12 now. My production SCCM will have 13 roles, and 2500 clients, i will start with 12GB ram on that. -
Yepp hyper-v machine, it worked great with win7, maybe a bug
-
Niall, this worked great, but i don't want remove my MDT settings, what should i do? Now i have to choose between my xml's, is there a way to fix this? Maybee i should paste in the settings from my "HideWirelessSetupInOOBE.xml" to the bottom of my untattend.xml, and the update the DP, whould that work?
-
Didn't get it to work, really strange.. However i did the capture by using this guide : http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/5070-how-can-i-capture-an-image-using-capture-media-in-configmgr-2012/ And it worked good
-
Thank you Niall, I do not specify any windows key. Is that something new? Before with win7 i usually don't specify any key. And let kms handle it. However i will try with a key now, and post my smsts.log if this one fails. /Kingen

Are you looking for IBCM (internet based client management) ? That will require a fully functionall PKI infrastructure. And it's a little bit tricky to set up. But it is possible, that way you can manage your customers clients, outside the company's walls. Here are som good links: http://www.informit....seqNum=9<br />http://blogs.technet...ative-mode.aspx http://social.techne...c-88b213d648ba/ You could also use the built-in DirectAcces in Windows Server to setup VPN. It's really smooth and easy in 2012. Btw did you use google translate for the text?

Ok created a new TS, included my install.wim. But it does not capture anything same in the log no errors or anything: And the computerrestart, but it just completes the installation and that's it. Very strange, not even a error or anything. This is what my TS looks like:

Ahh i took the entire folder and created a OS installer : Instead i should just use the install.wim in \\sources\ ? :
