  1. I have seen in some organizations where they have changed the standard System center config manger background to something else, i mean this background: I would like my own background, does someone know how to change that? /K
  2. Then maybe Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, isn't the most optimal deployment solution for you. Sorry to say. I would say network discovery will fix it for you but it generates a lot of network traffic and can be resource intensive, also it will find stuff outside your OU. But you can organize that in to groups later.
  3. Or just go to "About Configurtion Manager" in the console.
  4. I will try this, this was actually what i was looking for!
  5. Ok here are some screenshots to illustrate of what i am doing and trying to achive: And in the optionstab for "Join domain A" i whould like something like this:
  6. Conorofarell you have been verry helpfull! I Will try somethings tomorrow when i get back to work, i Will let you know how it goes
  7. Whre should i put it? Here: http://www.ladda-upp.com/bilder-a/thumbs/large/aaasda2asdds-24.png ?
  8. Hmm i didn't get much out of that :/ But like what im showing here, i have two different domain join settings, what im missing is a step before that that can tell what gateway the computer have and then send it to either Join Domain A or Join Domain B http://www.ladda-upp.com/bilder-a/thumbs/large/aaasda231-399.jpg
  9. I am looking for a setting in my TS were it puts the computer in a certain domain depending on what gateway ip the computer has. Like Domain A always have 192.168.40.1 and Domain B always have 192.168.50.1 Is there any option to make computers that have 40.1 join domain A and 50.1 to join B?
  10. I don't set up sites with encryption it adds extra complexity into it (i might consider it if i would have to set up sccm site in DMZ and expose it for internet users) , also the data traffic going back and fourth from the client to the site server do not contain sensitive user information (?) "So the moral of the story I've learn is, if something appears to not be working with SCCM, give it a few hours and see if it clears itself up... " True that
  11. Ok so this is what i have today 2007 site: 1 Standalone Primary Site with DP 1 Secondary Site (doing OEM OSD) 2500 windows 7 clients 10.000 users 100 servers (virtual) Im wondering do i need to install CAS or should i just go with Standalone Primary Site. Thinking of following: 1 Primary site With DP 1 DP (doing OEM OSD) That's good?
  12. Also they will probably update this when itäs supported: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg682077.aspx#BKMK_SupConfigSQLDBconfig
  13. How do you find SMBIOS GUID on 800 slates? just curious
  14. "Unfortunately, Microsoft is not yet supporting SQL Server 2012 to host an SCCM 2012 site database. It may work but you would be in an unsupported configuration. So as for now, the versions of SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2 listed in the SCCM 2012 Supported Configuration page is what Microsoft supports." This was written 26 April so don't know if it' supported yet. But i think (im not sure) you have to wait until SP1 for SQL 2012. And Also (i think) you will have to wait for SP1 for SCCM2012, in order to install it on Server2012. Could some one correct me?
  15. This is of topic, but why do people install configmgr2012 on 2008server and sql2008 when server 2012 and sql2012 are coming? Won't you just regret it later? Also imo it's best practice to wait until SP1. Just my opinions curios about why people are in sucha rush on installing cm12 sites in production.
  16. I created different Boundaries for my domains
  17. Have someone heard any rumors lately about when Server2012 will be supported for CM12, and when SQL2012 will be supported? Guess they are waiting to release Server2012 at 4 September, and hopefully they will announce from the start that CM12 and SQL12 are fully supported. Any thoughts?
  18. Didn't you validate your credentials ?
  19. Unbox the "Allow this PXE service point to respond to incoming PXE requests" in SCCM2007 site: Maybee, im not sure, if you haven't already done that
  20. How did you remove the AD boundry in sccm2007? Did you just delete the IP-addresses from Site settings > Boundaries ?
  21. Will it still work with the SCCM07 server, can both the SCCM07 server push out advertisment ?
  22. Ok SCCM07 active server today. Installed SCCM2012. What will happen when i deploy the new SCCM12 client to the computers, will both work simultaneous ? Or will the SCCM 07 client stop work as soon as cm12 client is installed?
