Is the System Management container required?

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunatly I will not be allowed to extend the schema. (Company rules). I am having another issue. When I setup a collection based on AD OUs I can only see a few of the OUs listed under value. I do not understand why I can see some, but not all. Any ideas? -
I am setting up a new SCCM 2007 envirmonent and will not be allowed to extend the schema. My question is do I still need to setup the system management container in AD?
