What OS are you installing ConfigMgr on? I ran into this exact error because I was installing configMgr on 2008 R2 w/ SP1 and it does not like SP1. Reinstalled 2008 R2 and it was fine. For the SQL Server it needs to be at least SP1 and CU4 but it sounds like you should be fine for that one.

2012 RC

First off thank you for the tutorials they are a great help. I'm getting some errors when trying to Sync the updates. In the wsyncmgr.log file I get the following Sync Failed: WSUS server not configured. Please refer to WCM.log for details. WSUS is configured per the tutorial. WCM shows an error. System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed. An unexpected error occured. I can get to the internet with my CCM Box, SQL box and DC as well as clients. This WAS working. I accidentally removed the SUP role form the CCM Server so I added it back in and this started. I removed it and the WSUS role and did it all over again and still get this error. Accounts have full rights to the shares and nothing like that has changed. Thank you for any help. I can provide more details if needed. I'm not sure where to try next. All ports are the same as far as I can tell.
