Deployment Times - nested collections and maintenance Windows
GarthMJ replied to AndyR's question in How do I ?
Yes they will deploy during their MW BUT likely not when you expect. Since the deadline is 5am, all servers will not try to install the deployment until AFTER the deadline has occurred.- 5 replies

how to deploy .net3.5
GarthMJ replied to honestvip's topic in System Center Configuration Manager (Current Branch)
Create a PowerShell script to enable the .net 3.5 feature within windows 10. Then deploy that to your clients. -
Current Branch and Versioning
GarthMJ replied to tjadams89's topic in System Center Configuration Manager (Current Branch)
There is no CMCB 2016. There is just CMCB with a release version of 1610. CMCB 1511 or CMCB 1602 or CMCB 1606 or CMCB 1610. -
You will have to review your log files to determine why that is.

As non-company assets will not be part of your domain, there is no way for them to have the CM client installed WITHOUT user interaction.

help for error 1602
GarthMJ replied to honestvip's topic in System Center Configuration Manager (Current Branch)
Error 1602 = User cancelled installation. -
What exactly do you mean by this? Assuming you have set this up within an MSI, it will overwrite file without issue.
-
Error 1460 = This operation returned because the timeout period expired.

So for other that find this post, to be clear, you MUST create a new database and NOT reuse the old database. Yes this will mean you loose any custom reports you have imported into CM but you import those RDL again and everything will be back to normal.
-
What exactly do you mean by "I dropped the database and reinstalled it."? Why didn't you let SSRS create a new database?
-
So you drop your database and reinstalled SSRS? Or is your database remote to SSRS?
-
The error message is clear... There is nothing more that I can do to help, I would suggest that you contact CSS directly for support, they will work with you to help you solve your problem.
-
The error message is clear.. Reinstall SSRS.

You error means, 0x0000098 = DosMuxSemWait did not execute; too many semaphores are already set.
-
This means that you are having SQL issues and need to fix your SSRS / SQL install. This has nothing to do with CM12.

As far as I know that unless you have an office add-on that required x86, you are better off with x64 version as it handles memory better. As for not moving to x64 OS, I completely understand that need to stay on x86 OS as 16-bit applications will only run on a 32bit OS.
