  1. There isn't much more that I can tell you, that is what error message means.
  2. Have you seen this. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/systemcenter/en-US/39a6ea3b-e4ba-4d46-930b-f2955a02ec16/sccm-task-sequence-error-code-0x80070570?forum=configmgrgeneral
  3. What does you query look like? If I remember right, the data will get clear out based Aged Inventory History task.
  4. You need to wait for each Service Pack and it will get updated during that process only.
  5. Did you talk to the guys over there to see what they can do to help?
  6. If you want MS to make a change then you should submit the change request via MS connect site.
  7. What is wrong with using the built-in reports and then manually determining the details of the PID? You are only talking about 6 version of the software.. It would take longer to write the query and test it than just manually looking up the 6 version of the software.
  8. This will get you started. http://smsug.ca/blogs/garth_jones/archive/2008/02/04/basic-all-in-one.aspx
  9. When you drill on the folder do you get more folders?
  10. Can you access the report via the web interface? I never recommend accessing via the console too much overhead. Are all reports affected or just some?
  11. You need to setup "relaying" or unauthentic email sending on your Exchange server. Once that is done everything will work great.
  12. Jason is right you are comparing apples and oranges. SSRS does not use SQL mail CM12 Alerts and SSRS report are not the same thing and doesn’t use the same method to send emails This is clearly as Exchange issue. Why do you think that SSRS can send test message, where did you do this action? Have you review the Exchange server logs to see why the email has been rejected?
  13. Without knowing what got changed, there is no supported way to fix this, you need to contact CSS for support or re-build your whole site.
  14. Absolutely, it can be security. CM server itself requires DBO to the db and administer on the SQL server. No exceptions. If you think it is permission, then it is likely someone play with the permission on the SQL server and they has messed up your CM db. This is one of the main reason why I will not recommend having SQL remote from CM itself. IMO you still need to call CCS this is NOT something that anyone can help you with as editing the db is unsupported.
  15. It look like you are having MAJOR SQL problems and therefore you should contact Microsoft Support (CSS) ASAP. This is NOT something that can be handle within the forums.
  16. It great that you have something working for you but IMO this will be a lot of work to maintain just like the reporting option above. If this works for you, then great.
  17. Use this blog post to troubleshoot HW inv. http://be.enhansoft.com/post/2013/07/25/Troubleshooting-Inventory-Flow.aspx
  18. 1) I almost never recommend turn on SW inv. IMO it s a waste of time. Now to answer your questions. No the PC will preform SW inv when they power up. see comment above. Yes, SW in will take ~ 4 hours to run and clients will "feel" that it is running! Hence why I never recommend enabling SW inventory.
  19. The dups are going to be caused by Dual CPU PCs.
  20. :-) I'm glad you got it figure out.
  21. So how exactly would you determine that that OU is called Sacramento Desktops? It sound like a manual process to me. As such you can use a monster "Case" statement to convert each OU into a better description.
  22. What more descriptive name do you want? Where would you find these details in CM07/CM12?
  23. Why do you want to use SW inv anyways? I almost never recommend using it. BTW I did up a blog on why SW is sooo slow in CM12. For whatever reason I can't paste urls, so check out the http://be.enhansoft.com site and search for software inventory to see how slow it is.
  24. What do you mean by samba? Are you source files stored on a sumba server?
  25. Error 5 is generally Access Denied.
