Are the PCs still reporting to that primary site?
-
It sound like you open a CSS support case for this. Right? This is NOT by design. Re-open the case and insist that they push this up a level or put it in writing (formal) that this is by design. If you get no where, send me you case id and I will push this from the product team end. The one thing to keep in mind is that in CM12 there is now business hours, just make sure that you are not looking at them.

Use a subselect query. search my blog for "subset" www.smsug.ca, there are three blog post, 1 to explain subselect (called subset in my blog) ; one for how to do it within SQL and one for WQL.

To capture this data, just enable the Baseboard class within CM12 Hardware Inventory section, this will allow the data to be captured. Are you only Lenovo PCs or do you have other types?

SCCM 2012 R2 reports not showing all Operating Systems
GarthMJ replied to Kazi's topic in Configuration Manager 2012
CM12 will get the data from WMI via hardware inventory on the PC. if WMI is wrong then so will CM12. Check what is listed in resource explorer under the OS node. -
Hi Niall, that is right. VMs will never report any power usage and are therefore excluded. .
-
Is that just for the Power Management reports or all CM12 reports?

SCCM 2012 R2 reports not showing all Operating Systems
GarthMJ replied to Kazi's topic in Configuration Manager 2012
I just check and that report will Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. Can't check Win2k12r2 as I don't have any of them within the lab but Win2k12 show up without any problems. -
CM12 will not provide any results for power management reports for VMs only physical PCs will show up in those reports.
-
Take a look a my blog there should be several example. www.smsug.ca

I would suggest starting with the report listed above and customize it. IMO I would make sure that they know how much work it is for you to do this and make sure that they understand the caveats.
-
Yes, this can be done but there are caveats that you must be aware of or design for. aka What happen when office is update to SP1 or SP2? What happens when a PC have two version of java installed or listed within ARP? IMO, you will be updating the report monthly or more often than that. I would stay with the other report, it will be less work.

What wrong with "count of all instances of software registered with add or remove programs"? This will give you exact what you asked for then you can drill down to get who have the software that you don't want.
-
What is wrong with the built-in reports? Yes, you can email the reports to yourself. http://youtu.be/sO0Y_IxdE8w

Create Collection using the Win32_PnPSignedDriver class
GarthMJ replied to lambicmxr's question in Collections
if those are the only two columns that you select then it is not right there are a number of "key" columns that are needed.. You can look them up on the MSDN site. -
I would create 1 IP range with all of you clients, you can change it later if you need to.

Create Collection using the Win32_PnPSignedDriver class
GarthMJ replied to lambicmxr's question in Collections
If the class exist within WMI then you can add it to CM07/CM12 and inventory it. Do you need to write a custome .mof? It depends, but in CM12 80% of the time you can just select it and it just works. If it doesn't then you need to write a custom mof. In CM07 you will always have to create a custom mof. -
I don't recommend accessing the reports via the console. too much over heard access then directly from IE. Does it work from IE directly? If not have you re-installed the report viewer <CM12 install directory>\bin\i386\reportviewer.exe?

SCCM 2012 Health Assessment/Check
GarthMJ replied to designer76's topic in Configuration Manager 2012
There is no tool, you can hire MS to do this for you. Start by reviewing the Client Status and Component status -
What does application categories have to do with DPs? If you have to draw this report what would it look like? What would the prompts look like?
-
I'm not following you, what are you trying to do? Why do you care about Admin categories?
