  1. Under administration, site configuration, sites, right click your site and select Configure Site Components then select Software Distribution. On the Network Access Account tab it will show the user that will be used to install apps from the catalog. If that user is not in the local admin group for the client then it will not work.
  2. Wow they should really put an option in there to use local time. Thanks!
  3. I have been working on removing old versions of Java in our environment and uninstalled versions still remain in the software reports. Even after running another software inventory the data remains. Is there a way to refresh the software inventory or remove these stale records? It would be nice to see what versions are left after running my uninstall script.
  4. Primary site and DP's that is all you need.
  5. Just curious if anyone can shed some light on the malware alerts. I have checked the time on the client and server and everything is correct so why does it say last detection was at 2:31pm today? It is freakin 9AM! Collection name: All Windows Workstations Multiple malware threshold: 2 Number of machines with multiple malware infections: 2 Last detection time(UTC time): 9/11/2012 2:31:31 PM
  6. I have the same issue with reporting. I have to change the dates each week to get accurate data. I hope that function is available but I have searched all over and can't find any info. Why would microsoft miss such a critical function for reporting.
  7. SQL report builder 3.0
  8. I have setup 10 DP's at our branches on win 7 and it works great! All the content is stored on the local network and the DP's are updated after hours. If that's all you need is the content like endpoint, windows updates, and app catalog a DP is the way to go.
  9. If you have Bits enabled this article saved me tons of time troubleshooting Remote DP installs. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917485
  10. So it would basically look like this. Publisher Name Version Adobe Flash Player 11 11.3.3
  11. The layout of the application website is not that great and I would like to switch some of the categories so its not so confusing to users. The fields are Name, Version, Publisher, Category, and Requires approval. I want to move the Publisher field before the name field. So apps will be displayed properly like Publisher Adobe then the Name Flash Player 11. If you name it Adobe Flash Player 11 and also put the Publisher Adobe then when you select it at the bottom description it says Adobe Adobe Flash Player. I was hoping there is a way to customize the site without ignoring the publisher field and just put the full name of the product in the name field. Damnit why is microsoft so retarded.
  12. Yeah I can't have anything external.
  13. Hello, Is there a way to flag windows updates to use microsoft instead of SCCM if it hasn't checked in after a certain amount of time?
  14. Finally got it working by reinstalling the app using the MSI so the GUID matched up and then the uninstall worked. What a pain in the ass.
  15. Thats the problem all of them work outside of SCCM. There are more errors cause I have tried just about everything with exe and msi. Just frustrated that a simple task can be so complicated.
  16. I have the exact same problem. My scripts and install/uninstalls work great on XP but 64bit windows 7 fails every time I plug it into SCCM. I have read every damn article and tried every god damn setting. Basically at this point I am like fuck microsoft and going to push my uninstall by group policy since SCCM is broken.
  17. OMG even created a small script that uninstalls fine but soon as it is plugged into sccm it fails. Go Microsoft!
  18. Oh yeah this is on a 64bit Win7 and XP uninstalls just fine.
  19. Okay dealing with SCCM has been one of the most frustrating things I have encountered in my 12 years in IT. I probably would have uninstalled SCCM 2012 a long time ago if it wasn't for these guides. Can someone please help or list the steps to uninstalling an application? Seriously its a f**king uninstall! It will fail every time with a different error code. Here are just a few errors and I have tried like 50 different configs with no luck and tons of googling. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ +++ Starting Uninstall enforcement for App DT "test2" ApplicationDeliveryType - ScopeId_1E573074-333A-4E44-BD29-949CE270EDA0/DeploymentType_68803b30-63ae-4704-9988-9b55dfbb40e9, Revision - 1, ContentPath - C:\Windows\ccmcache\19, Execution Context - System AppEnforce 7/17/2012 9:25:13 AM 1728 (0x06C0) A user is logged on to the system. 20. YAY! I figured it out without microsofts help. This error 0x80004005 is a problem with BITS on the client machine. EnabledBitsMaxBandwidth needs to be changed to dword value 0 for max bandwidth. The key is located here in win 7 HKLM \Software \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows \ BITS. After I changed this my WSUS and manual client push worked like a charm!
  21. Skrew it calling microsoft. Even a direct install takes 8 hours and there is no bit throttling. Damn I really hate setting up SCCM what a pain in the ass.
