I installed SQL server 2008 with SP2 and CU9 on a 2003 R2 SP2 server and the same issues cam back except the WSUS as I installed it on the CAS server.

I will install another SQL server with a different instance on another server that I have and se how it goes. Does all the System Center 2012 have to share the same SQL server instance?

I have been able to install every other module except Configuration Manager. here is the list that I have installed on the SC01 server. App Controller, Operations manager, VMM, DPM, Orchestrator and Server manager managment server. All of these modules were able to connect to the SQL server and authenticate.

Hi Root Admin, Thanks forgetting on this so fast. To answer your question "YES" the Domain userscadmin is a member of Domain Admins as well as local administrators group.

Hello this has been a really excellent feed. But no matter what I do I can not get Configuration manager to get get past the pre-requisites check. As expeted the WSUS warning is their. But there is also the following errors: Firewall exeception for SQL ServerScreenshot of sccm pre-recquisites I am able to connect to the SQL server with SQL server management studio with the Administrator acct that I am using to install SCCM 2012. I am able to browse through all parts of SQL server management studio. The firewall exceptions have been made through active directory for ports 1433 and 4200. SQL Service service running acct. I get the error that "The logon account for the SQL Server service can not be a local user account or LOCAL SERVICE. You must configure the SQL Server service to use a valid Domain acct, NETWORK SERVICE, or LOCAL SYSTEM." Lastly I am getting the error SQL Server sysadmin rights. " Either the user account running Configuration Manager Setup does not have sysadmin SQL Server role permissions on the SQL Server instance selected for site database installation, or the SQL Server instance could not be contacted to verify permissions. Setup cannot continue." Also the collation is set correctly to: SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS I am attaching the ConfigMgrPrereq lof file, the ConfigMgrSetup log file and the smstsvc log file.
