Hi I am required to set the ComputerName to the asset value which has been entered into the bios. i am using the MDT Tools, Gather, then task sequence variable OSDComputerName = "%Asset Tracking Number%" this is fine however i have machines that don't have the "%Asset Tracking Number%" value but have a "%Notebook Asset Tag%" value. How can i get the task sequence to populate OSDComputerName with whichever value holds the entry i require?

Hi these machines have blank disk's and are not know to SCCM, Bare Metal. When i press F12 the PC enters PXE and then the SCCM FQDN is shown and i am prompted to press F12 again for anetwork boot I then get the PXE Adorted Then a blue screen with the error message on

I am trying to deploy an OSD task sequence using PXE boot and I am getting the following error: The Windows boot configuration data file (BCD) from the PXE server does not contain a valid OS entry (0xC0000098) I have update the x86 and x64 boot images on the distribution points and PXE is enabled I am getting a pxe boot aborted prior to this.

Hi the schema wasn't extended i have does this now and all errors have stopped and status is green

Hi I am install sccm 2012 on a customers site, they have told me that they have extended the schema pre my arrival, i have had a few problems and logs show that the schema maybe at the wrong level. after running dsquery i see the schema level is 44, is this the correct level to indicate that the extension was done?

Yes i used AD Forest discovery to find and create sites as boundaries, and then created a group for OSD assignment

I have put i ten second delay on the SCCM PXE during testing, is it best to move the delay to the current PXE provider when we enter full OSD?

Hi thanks for your reply, i have ran update membership and still nothing, i am on day three now and still no devices, i can't install the client on the test machine i imported manually as i get an error saying the collection is currently updating, the colleval log has no new entry in the last 7 days. Hi I have Set up a new SCCM 2012 environment, after configuring AD System discovery, i created a device collection and added a single machine for testing. The problem is the device collection i created and the All Systems Collection are showing as updating and have been for 2 days and don't show any members. Has anyone come across this before? If so have to managed to fix the problem?
