  1. We have 2 computers on which Microsoft KB2830477 cannot be installed otherwise it means they can't connect with an affiliated companies Juniper remote access software. Is there a simple way to stop these two computers reciving this particular update through our SCCM deployments that won't exclude them from the main collection I use to target all our Win 7 and office update delpyments?
  2. I originally deleted some of the folders, but SCCM didn't like that and started complaining they were missing. "The source directory "\\iceprdscc2\share\EndpointDefs\2b233fd1-445e-45b7-a83f-6f07ef6e03f1" for package "COR00067" does not exist. The operating system reported error 2: The system cannot find the file specified. Solution: Make sure you have specified a valid package source directory on the Data Source tab in the Package Properties dialog box in the Configuration Manager Console. If you specify a local path, it must be a local path on the site server. If you specify a path on a network drive, verify that the path exists and that the path is typed correctly." I have since restored the folders and now SCCM say's all is well "Distribution Manager successfully created or updated package "COR00067". My question is: How do I remove some of these updates from the package and disk to reduce it's size as it is currently over 3GB?
  3. So i've inherited the SCCM infrastructure at my company and everything worked for a month after the last guy was there and now our imaging no longer works. The platform is this: SCCM 2012 SP1 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Steps to get the problem -PXE works and WinPE loads -You see the task sequences (we have 3) -no matter which one you choose it will start, format the disk(step1) and then fail at the second step which is applying the OS image. I have tried recreating the task sequences, recreating and redistributing the image packages, I've given the network access accocunt and the server computer account local admin access to the DP (it's just one server that does every role). from what i've looked up it seems like 1 of 2 things 1) no permission to the file location 2) wrong file location the file location hasn't changed since it was working, but we did move the SCCMContentLib folder from the C drive to the D drive on the server using an MS tool and I have removed and readded the distribution point role a couple of times in the midst of troubleshooting this. Here's the status message from the task sequence engine The task sequence execution engine failed execution of a task sequence. The operating system reported error 2147942402: The system cannot find the file specified. The task sequence execution engine failed executing the action (Apply Operating System) in the group (Install Operating System) with the error code 2147942402 Action output: ... lient\osdeployment\applyos\installimage.cpp,1460) resolvePkgSource(), HRESULT=80070002 (e:\nts_sccm_release\sms\client\osdeployment\applyos\installimage.cpp,1503) Apply(), HRESULT=80070002 (e:\nts_sccm_release\sms\client\osdeployment\applyos\installimage.cpp,1712) installer.install(), HRESULT=80070002 (e:\nts_sccm_release\sms\client\osdeployment\applyos\installimage.cpp,1787) Failed to find an available source location Installation of image 2 in package COR00070 failed to complete.. he system cannot find the file specified.
