Hello, Sorry this is probably a dumb newbie question -- but is Endpoint Protection optional? I am following the step-by-step guides and am trying to get SCCM to work. Meaning if I skip LAB step-by-step Guide Part 5 "Enable the Endpoint Protection Role and configure Endpoint Protection settings", will the "Deploying Software Updates work (Part 6)? Please advise. Hello, I am an SCCM 2012 newbie. I have been unsuccessful in installing critical updates. Basically, the deployment gets deployed and downloaded to the client but it never installs it. I have pulled all of the relevant logs which provide some clues. Scanagent.log, rebootcoordinator.log, servicewindowmanager.log, wcm.log, wsync.log, wsusctrl.log, ruleengine.log, SUPSetup.log, updateshandler.log, -- all look good with no errors, failures, warnings. However, a number of the other logs contains errors. Is it possible to vet these logs here since there are several? I will post the windowsupdate.log. Please note the last 4 lines where it trys to install the updates but the last line is "WARNING: There are no approved updates to install". I'm not sure what that means .. also I can post more of the log if that is helpful. Thanks for any help -- it is greatly appreciated.
