Well, SCCM just does not work full stop in the current state. I am going to try and uninstall everything and start again from scratch using the SMSAdmin account. I maybe able to place SCCM onto another server, however this one is already running ISA. Is there any issue with running SCCM on ISA server. I was not keen on doing this as I have always kept external security and internal services seperate. Is there a technical reason not to do this,, i.e. any possible conflicts. Cheers

I agree, in an ideal world they would be seperate, but unfortunatly not every client is ideal :-( Anyway, enough of my woes. The SMSAdmin account is a Domain Admin, but the problem persists. One thing, I had to create the SMSAdmin account myself, it was not automaticaly created, is that significant? O

Thank you for your response. I should have said that the server is a DC and I am logging in as a Domain Admin. The site that SCCM is going to be installed into only have a DC availiable for this product. I have looked into giving local administrator rights on a DC and appears that this might not be possible, unless you can point me in the right direction. Cheers

Hello, I am new to these forums, but have been following the excellent instructions on installing SCCM 2007. However, I am experiencing some problems following installation and would really appreciate some help. The System: Windows Server 2008 Enterprise (64 bit) SQL 2005 SP3 WSUS 3.0 SP1 SCCM 2007 SP1 - installed to c:\program files (x86)\Microsoft Configuration Manager Running on VMWare ESXi. I have installed SCCM 2007 according to the instructions on this sites sticky's. However, I am unable to detect any PC's in the CFG Manager Console. A bit of digging in the Event Logs shows errors installing various SMS components. I have done a lot of diggin around the net and have come to a sticky end. The following is an extract from the sitecomp.log file which may provide some kind of clue. I have tried this on a test and production environment, both resulting in the same errors.
