What version of SCCM are you running? Ours always fails at the capture step and give a blue screen with a sideways sad face...

Capturing Windows 10 in SCCM is broken right now. It fails during the capture step. We use two methods right now. If we need to customize a wim before capturing we use MDT since that is working. Then we import the WIM into SCCM. We have also just used original source media to create a package although we really haven't played around with that too much yet. We don't customize our WIMs though. We just use a base Windows image with nothing installed and everything is done during the task sequence. Keep in mind though that you need to upgrade to SP2 first or you won't be able to install drivers.

Well I got it working....see below. I found that same information as well. What was weird though is that we had imaged dozens of labs with no problem whatsoever, even without the restart (Chrome was the step prior to Office). But I thought what the heck so I added the restart and it didn't fix it. What really got me confused was a couple of them failed to copy the final config steps which is just that - copying files, not installing anything. So I dug deeper into the log for that step and it was telling me it couldn't download that package which was weird, because 10/11 computers in my test lab downloaded it fine. At this point I knew it was more than just a problem with Office. I fixed it by adding some task sequence variables at the beginning of the TS. Apparently this is a known bug in R2, which we are thankfully upgrading very soon. That didn't help...any ideas? I was hoping someone could make more sense of the log file than me. I reimaged a test lab of 6 computers yesterday. When I got to work this morning the 800 G1 had failed and the 840 G2 was stuck on installing a piece of software that should take no more than 4 minutes. Yet yesterday morning I reimaged them and all six of them worked.

Well, I ended up restarted the site server. Hopefully that helps. It seems to have helped in initial testing.

So, I have a test lab of computers that I am trying out a task sequence (the task sequence has worked fine in the past). HP 8000 Destkop HP 8200 Desktop HP 8300 Desktop HP 800 G1 Desktop HP 840 G1 Laptop (x2) Aside from the two laptops which image fine, the desktops are all random when they fail (but when they do fail it's always on Office 2013) For example, I imaged the four desktops and they all worked except the 800 G1. I tried again and the 8000 failed but the other three worked. The third time I tried the 8200 and 8300 failed but the 8000 and 800 G1 worked. I am beating my head against the wall here. I have never seen this kind of random behavior before. If it were a problem with the Office package they would all fail. And we are imaging other computers that all reference the same Office 2013 package and no problems there. The logs are not any help either....I can find no reference of an failure during the Office install, but I will include the information here. Also, I notice in the History of a task sequence that there was a failure with Office. I am attaching a screenshot of that as well. In the screenshot I captured the last part of the Chrome install just because. Someone said it might be failing because the step before was just a wrapped executable and so it would fail because there was already an installation in progress. But that doesn't make sense because why would it work randomly? I appreciate any help!
