    Well, scaling can be a reason to split roles, but often disk space isn't one of them. With the right hardware a single box should be sufficient.

    The log file I mentioned is a client log file, which can be found on the client in C:\Windows\CCM\Logs.

    Yes, manually push out the package delivered with the installation of the CU, or use SCUP to deploy it as a software update.

    I would start by checking the AppEnforce.log to see if that's indeed the problem.

    You might be able to get ConfigMgr running, but it leaves little over for other servers and/or clients.

    Are you using required deployments? If so, use the clear last pxe in the right-click menu on the device.

    The unknown computers collection should only contain two objects, one for x86 and one for x64.

    Automatic client upgrade only works for the latest full release and not for cumulative updates.

    You can install multiple application catalogs in a site and with custom client policies you could guide the clients to the right catalog.

    To add-on, if you suspect that the device is arriving on the site server than I would start by looking at the IIS log. See if the device is truly hitting the site server and if so what the return code is.

    You need to provide more information. This log file shows a client that is unknown in the database and after that it shows that there is not a deployment available for unknown devices.

    And what about the specific client(s), like Niall mentioned, are they already approved?

    You can select the class that contains the data you're searching for. So instead of SMS_R_System select the class that contains your data.
