  1. I see you're trying to install Adobe Flash... The installation logs of that may even give some more information, they can be found C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\FlashInstall.log (on 32-bit system).
  2. Then just capture a "normal" image and create the two partitions during the deployment task sequence of the image.
  3. Two things, one you can NOT use Bitlocker on a VM (well, eventualy it is possible with some tricks) and two you can NOT include Bitlocker with a Build and Capture (also, I can't think of a reason why you would even want that).
  4. Correct, it's a separate download. The up-to-date link can be found in the Configuration Manager 2012 SP1 Setup -splashscreen, on the left bottom it ays Download clients for additional operating systems. The link is http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=34609 and as far as I can see it's still the BETA version.
  5. Take a look at the AppEnforce.log for more information.
  6. If you are searching for a way to connect the stand-alone primary to the hierarchy of the CAS with a primary than the answer is, that is NOT possible. This can only be used when you have a stand-alone primary and you want to extend it with a CAS above it.
  7. There is no functional requirement to add the site server account to the local administrators of a client... The clients use the network access account (is that configured?) to access the distribution point and use the local SYSTEM account to run an installation.
  8. What about this one: http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/Delete-SCCM-Collections-df6dbe49
  9. That's usually a problem with either the source files being available or an incorrect command line. What other messages are shown in the log, around the error?
  10. The same way as an MSI, the only difference is that you now need to manually specify all the information (like detection, command line, etc.). Then deploy it as Required to all the clients and the users doesn't have to do anything.
  11. A Site server will (and can) only write information in their own domain... Also as an add-on boundaries are published as an attribute of the MP and Site objects.
  12. Let's start with that I would try to search for a different solution to get the diagnostic tools available to my techs. When that's not an option I might be possible by not using a Format and Partition Disk -step. This way the disk won't be re-formatted and only be wiped. Just make sure then to apply the image to the correct partition...
  13. You should be able to work something like that out, but NOT with an unconditionalExclude. Take a look here for some more information about conflicts and precedence in those XML files.
  14. That's weird, their is no difference in client OS during discoveries... Did you check the adsysdis.log for any errors?
  15. It depends on the exit/return code of the msi. When it return 3010 the task sequence will automatically restart the system.
  16. It already failed at the Setup Windows and Configuration Manager -step with the error Windows setup failed, code 31. The nice thing is that this can be anything from a serial, to a driver, etc.
  17. So only system from the Computers OU are in SCCM? If so, then you need to check the configuration of the AD System Discoveries.
  18. Nope the first place for a managed client should be a DP. The only way to let a client look online is by using GPO, so I hope you don't have them configured?
  19. I would always do something like that together with Maintenance Windows, that way you don't have "real" problems if the task missed once and/ or wants to retry. Besides that I think that the old-school task scheduler, together with GPP, has better predictable behavior for something like this...
  20. Why the exit /b 0? By doing that you will fool your results... because it will always return a success...
  21. By using psexec you can simulate the behavior of SCCM, as it performs its actions as the system account. The commandline is a standard uninstall string for some MSI.
  22. How are you migrating, hard-links? SMP?
  23. I can't think of any reason why you should go for scenario 1....
  24. Is the machine during the task sequence in a workgroup? If so, did you specify the SMSMP property as a client installation property?
