  1. You need to provide more information... What does your task sequence looks like, what else is in the log file(s), etc..
  2. If that's really the solution you're looking for then, yes it is possible, but take very good care of your boundaries (and boundary groups).Overlapping boundaries can cause really big problems!
  3. That's possible. You can target as many deployments to a collection as you want, no matter what the collection is based on...
  4. Yes, it's possible. Easiest way is to create an application based on the msi and then afterwards change the commandline of the deployment type to the batch.
  5. You can't remove a system from a query based collection via the option Remove from collection. The reason for that is actually pretty simple, because the membership is determined on the query and not on manual actions.
  6. Sorry I missed the SCCM 2007 part... I read Windows 8, so I assumed it was SCCM 2012... Officially the deployment of Windows 8 isn't supported with SCCM 2007..
  7. Keeps him busy. The only thing you need to keep in mind is the deployment of certificates to non-domain machines. They won't get a certificate automatically...

  9. The loadstate of USMT has the Move Use (/mu) option. With this command line option you can specify a new username for an user. See also: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd560804(v=ws.10).aspx
  10. In that case you can think about ConfigMgr, Altiris and maybe Kace...
  11. No you don't need an CA in your DMZ... and you should be fine with running your CA on Windows Server 2012 and your ConfigMgr on Windows Server 2008 R2.
  12. An alternative in what way? What is it that you want to use the tool for?
  13. Add the machine to the domain and then install SQL
  14. I always run the latest versions in my lab, even if that means that I have to rebuild it sometimes.
  15. What did you configure? And where are you storing the user data?
  16. My mobile lab is on Hyper-V (on Windows 8), my Site server is Server 2012 with SQL 2012 CU2 and everything runs fine...
  17. Do you mean the Eula's that are part of the downloads? They are for the prerequisites of the clients and sites.
  18. Depends on what you call easy... You still need to find out if a user/machine is allowed to have the software, if not, uninstall it...
  19. That's manual configuration on the Deployment Type, so you should be able configure that.
  20. You should either use an adminfile or a configfile, not both of them...
  21. Short answers: 1. No, 2.Yes, 3.Yes, 4.Basics for the setup don't differ much between RC and RTM...
  22. Your Site server needs to have Enroll rights on the certificate.
  23. I think I would try to use the OCT for that, like described here: http://blogs.technet...ffice-2007.aspx
  24. I think I would try to use the OCT for that, like described here: http://blogs.technet.com/b/odsupport/archive/2009/04/24/how-to-deploy-a-customized-normal-dotm-with-office-2007.aspx
  25. Did you configure the ConfigMgr Client settings to automatically deploy the SCEP Client?
