  1. Nope, as soon as you want to use SCCM for deploying updates, you need a client on the server.
  2. The error is on the top of your log snippet Cannot open a hardlink store as a regular store. You're probably using the wrong command line to open a hardlink store.
  3. That's always a hash error. Usually refreshing the package on the DPs is enough.
  4. Correct, the ADR only updates the clients in the collection, which are targeted by the deployment.
  5. While we're on the topic anyway, we also got a "Wally Mead Special" at SCUG in the Netherlands on Monday!
  6. By using the MDT step Gather it will create the variable IsLaptop for you and then you can use it as usual during the task sequence.
  7. A DP in ConfigMgr 2012 can also control bandwidth. In this case it's all about priorities, if you still want to use your ConfigMgr 2007 environment then first migrate the clients and after that handle the secondary site. Otherwise, do it the other way around...
  8. Start with the Windowsupdate.log.
  9. Check the Remote Tools -section in the Client Policy Settings.
  10. Correct, WSUS 4.0 automatically installs as a new site on port 8530 (http) and port 8531 (https).
  11. For downloading content a normal DP is enough. It just needs to check compliancy with WSUS/SUP, but that's very little traffic..
  12. Also, it's totally, completely not supported...
  13. Nope, you have to create your own uninstall programs.
  14. No just update the current one with the new NIC driver.
  15. Via Monitoring > Overview > Deployments and the click View Status on the specific deployment. And yes, it looks a lot different then it did before.
  16. SP1, which is still in beta, will allow an upstream WSUS server. The only thing you can do then is to use custom actions/ scripts to search with WSUS during the deployment of a machine.
  17. What's package CNT001AB? And does it exist on a DP? And is it accessible for the client?
  18. Nope you can't use the old configuration/ approvals of WSUS in ConfigMgr...
  19. At the moment you turn some site roles to HTTPS, the client will need a certificate to be able to connect to that role. Another thing you might want to look at is something like Direct Access.
  20. First part is correct, you can only use offline servicing for OS updates and not for added applications.
  21. It also says, Device not found in the database. Make sure it's added, in the correct collection and receives the advertisement..
