  1. Secondary sites will do the trick. You have to make sure you add all the site roles you wish to use. SCCM will take care of the rest. If you're using VMware ESX or Hyper-V and you have slow internet speeds in those sites, you can pre build the secondary site, power it down once all the packages copy, then save it to hard drive and carry it there. I've done that in the past if our internet lines were slow.
  2. Anyweb: Does this work with most of the Hotkeys or just specific ones? I extracted it to a folder. the setup, exe is the folder you're talking about the extracted folder before the install correct?
  3. Hello everyone. A friend of mine pointed me to this site. I've been working with SCCM for about 2 years but only full time for the last 7 months. I've been doing deployments of Windows OS since the 2000 days using various methods of deployment. I've attended some training for SCCM and I am about to go through Windows 10 training since we are beginning to roll that out in a POC form to about 500 users. My primary responsibilities are SCCM and Exchange/Office 365. Facts about me: I'm always up early. I switch phones more than people change underwear I am a big fan of mobile technology. I am married with too many children. I am in love with my Surface Book. I play my XBOX One sporadically but have been on XBL since it first released. I look forward to getting to know people here. I'll try to contribute in any way I can. Enjoy your Sunday! I will get around to editing my profile here once I find a suitable picture
  4. Since there is no install.wim file for Windows XP, the SCCM Capture Wizard will fail. The .wim was introduced in Windows Vista. Since XP is no longer supported, there's not going to be much documentation on the subject. Your only solution would be to deploy images using WDS.
  5. Hi Everyone. A friend of mine turned me onto this site and I can't believe the amount of information here. It's amazing. I'm having an issue with capturing a Windows 7 x64 image So I'm capturing the image with the capture media iso. I run the capture media and the capture completes successfully. I set it up for deployment in SCCM, copy the image, distribute the content etc. But for some reason after the first reboot in the task sequence (after the drivers install and configuration manager install, it goes right into windows. In monitoring, the system shows that the task sequence initiated a reboot, but it never connects back to the SCCM server. The logs on the client PC show that it can't connect to find the task so the configuration manager client seems to not install or connect so it's my guess that I have a bad capture. Any ideas? I'm out of options at this point and not sure what could have went wrong. Thanks in advance for the help. Chris
