  2. Yes sir. Wrote it in office 2010 and published it to PDF. Used some of the pictures and text from Secunia documentation (like the pre requirments).
  3. Hello Attached you will find the Guide for implementing Secunia CSI into your WSUS(SCCM) lab. Please let me know if anything is missing or is unclear, so i can update the guide. Secunia CSI integrated with WSUS.pdf
  4. It's up and running Will post a "how to" this weekend
  5. Will do anyweb Installed the product but ran into some errors, Secunia is helping me debugging. When the solution is up and running i will post a "how to", and what I think of the product.
  6. Hello Are you sure you can upgrade from Office 2007 Enterprise to the version of Office 2010 you are running? A workaround can be to write a script that first remove office 2007 enterprise (msiexec /x "the ID for Office2007Pro") Then a new step for installing Office 2010 setup.exe /adminfile "nameoftheadminfile". This can be used in a task for example(you can also use tasks to deploy applications like you deploy Operating Systems).
  7. Hello Had a similar problem with the new Lenovo X201. Solution: Added the NetworkCard driver to the X86 Boot image, and created a driverpackage with all the X201 drivers, and applied the driverpackage during the task, and it all went well http://www.deployvista.com/Default.aspx?tabid=36&EntryID=82 (driverpackages).
  8. Thanks for the response. Downloaded the trial and I am testing in it my lab. Got a PDF from the secunia site that explained how its done, so looking forward to this
  9. Hello Have your tried the commands that are one Appdeploy.com? Worked for me on windows 7 32bit and XP 32 bit. On my 64 bit system I used the msi package, haven't tried the .exe
  10. Hello Have you tried to copy the application to the computer and running it from the computer(in the os deployment task)? Had similar problems with some Lenovo Applications that are both a driver and an application. One cmd step in the task for copying the application to the client(cmd step with Xcopy -parameters \\server\xxx\"packet id"\ c:\drivers\xxx then a new cmd step for launching the installation on the client("in the "start in" type c:\drivers\xxx") and then as the command line type something like setup.exe -s A workaround that worked for me
  11. Hello If the windows 7 image doesn't have drivers for a new network card(built the image one year ago), and the new computer we are deploying to has a new Network card that the Windows 7 image doesn't have a driver for. I added the driver to Windows PE(so now the task starts and copies over the Windows 7 image(the task failed before i added the driver to Windows PE), but when windows 7 starts and is suppose to make the computer member of the domain and install applications it fails. Because windows 7 doesn't know the Network card. So windows 7 comes up with no applications and missing drivers for the network card. How can i add the driver so it gets installed before windows tries to make the computer a member of the domain and install applications. Will the "Auto Apply drivers" step work? Because Windows 7 cannot access any shares when it doesn't have a driver. Shouldn't this be solved when i add the driver to the Boot image? " Apply Device Drivers Install Operating System 11134 The task sequence execution engine successfully completed an action 0 for device 'ACPI\PNP0C04\4&50132C5&0'. 12. Problem solved on the CoreI5, updated SATA and Network card drivers on the X86 PE Boot image
  13. Hello jamitupya What does to update: HAL type do? We ran into a problem, created a windows 7 image from a computer with Intel Core 2 duo, and when deploying it to a computer with Intel Core I5 the computer fails to start up. Just gets a message like "problem starting the operating system, might be because of hardware changes.." And do we really need to create driver packages? Is it not enough to Import them into SCCM, and in the task sequence use the "Apply device drivers" step? Thanks for the response
  14. It works very well. Did this when installing Star IPS and Oracle on clients.
  15. just advertise it as any normal application
  16. It is written on the Intel sticker if you have VPro. On mine(Lenovo T500) its written Intel Centrino 2 VPro. But do you need VPro to use Out of band? I think its enough if you have Intel AMT on the computer??
  17. thanks for a great response Got all my questions answered, testing it in my lab now
  18. Hello Anyweb Do we need to do the wds configuration to support Multicast in SCCM? Or can we just follow the instructions on technet? Thanks.
  19. Hello Has anybody tried to integrate Secunia CSI into SCCM? I would like to know how it works, and how it is done. Is it as good as it looks on paper? Also are there any good guides for "how to" integrate Adobe updates into SCCM/WSUS with the use of System Center Update Publisher? Thanks for the response
  20. running out of space on the sccm server, so was just wondering if this was a quick and easy solution, so we can test MDT. After installing MDT, you run the MDT "configuration" and there you enter the SCCM console server and site code. Wont this integrate the MDT with SCCM? Or do we need to run it on the same server to integrate? Cant integrate to a remote server? But then i know Thanks!
  21. Also if this works, will there be any limitations?
  22. Hello Are there any special steps that need to be done if SCCM and MDT2010 are on different servers? SCCM 2007 SP2 on one server, and MDT2010 on another server? Like WAIK needs to be installed on the MDT2010 server as well? Will this work at all? Can we use a SCCM MDT deployment task if the MDT2010 is located on another server? Thanks for the response.
  23. Hello We also have a lab environment running Windows Server 2003. I would like to upgrade this Windows 2003 server to Windows 2008(maybe R2) The 2003 server has SCCM 2007 installed. Is it possible to upgrade the server from 2003 to 2008 and will SCCM still work after the Windows Server upgrade? Is this supported? Anyone tested it? Thanks Best regards. Jeaostro

  25. Are there any guides for knowing what updates can not be installed during OS deployment? Tried adding more updates today, and the installation fail again(now there are 0 .Net patches), but there are some for Outlook Express, media player, active x, messenger, etc. Thanks
