Okay, so I understand that you can make a task sequence and schedule it On Logon, but will that actually push out an install right away and start the install script? Looking for the best way to deploy applications and upgrades on logon. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

we use pace suite from infopulse, the easiest i've tried, great for newbies.

Same problem here a couple of years ago. There was an offer to switch to flexera adminstudio at a discounted rate. That was still too expensive and we moved to pace suite from infopulse.

We use PACE Suite, it's a complete alternative to AdminStudio but cheaper.
