Hey, Just wanted to say thanks for the prompt help - i've now reinstalled the state migration point to a local share and that has solved my issue. for the record, you cannot add a network drive or network path as a state migration point. the share must sit on a server with state migration point role installed.

ok i've been slightly away from this problem but im about to try it again and see how i go - i was unable to connect to the windows share normally so i think a reinstall is in order. edit: something i have forgotten to ask : is it possible for the site migration state data to be stored on a network share rather than a local disk on the actual site migration site server? also, when i do reinstall the site migration point role, do i need to go in and modify any existing packages to point them to the changes?

Ok, Attempted to access "\\VIC-CFMGR-01.UPSTREAM.NET.AU\SMPSTOREM_3F36DD35$" from my workstation as well as the testbox, and it cannot find it. Looking @ the shares section of windows 2k8 server, this share actually doesnt exist - im guessing this might be a primary concern. at this point do you think it would be worth uninstalling the SMP role from the server and reinstalling it?

Hi All, Im currently lookig to implimenting SCCM 2007 R2 sp2 for windows 7 deployment and so far have been successful at fully deploying an image precreated, gathering user data and even restoring after installation, along with app push etc.then i began to test the same on a single laptop, only to find i didnt have enough storage to save the users profile which was around 50Gb. To try to combat this, i mapped a network path of \\NASutilityBox\ to M:\ and then mapped that as a new state migration point.
