  1. Hi to all, We have recently updated SCCM management server from 1810 to 2010. We have updated also ADK and MDT tools. Now MDT is v. 8456 and ADK is v.10.1.17763.1 Sccm Agent is 5.00.9040.1015. All upgrade task worked fine, without any problems. At the moment we can see only a strange thing: At the end of any windows 10 task sequence, we found some TS logs file in C:\ drive. I look logs in Configmgr Status Message Viewer, but I think all is ok , I can't see any strange error o new critical... I tried to use different TS with the old MDT pkg and with the new MDT pkg, and also I tried to create a new TS from scratch, but nothing has changed . Do you have any idea why TS or SCCM agent save these logs in the root? Thanks a lot in advance Bye
  2. Hi to all, I'm using SCCM 2012 R2 and MDT 2013 When I check the OSD task sequence log, from Configuration Manager Status Message Viewer, I don't see the real computer name, for example Computer01, but only the original MININT-* name, and it is very difficult understand which computer is when there are many osd running in the same time. Is it possibile to configure MDT 2013 or the TS to modify this behavior? Thanks in advance Bye
  3. I'm testing the Coretech shutdowntool; it's work fine in my opinion Bye Alessandro
  4. Hi to all, I need some suggestion to upgrade software antivirus and give user the possibility to choose when start the upgrade (from software center) and a countdown before reboot to save his job, without lose his data. I will explain the scenario: I have SCCM 2012 R2 and thousands of Windows 7 SP1 x 64 with antivirus software version "a" that need to be upgrade to versione "b" The msi file of version "b" can overwrite the actual version "a" but a restart of computer is needed to complete the installation and, much more important, to continue protect the computer and also it must be done within a few minutes after the upgrade. I would a button at the end of installation to force reboot or one countdown;in any case the user may leave your computer without restarting. The msi command line has the switch "ALLOWREBOOT=0" to prevent automatically restart and his exit code is 3010, that mean "reboot is required to complete the installation", alias soft reboot. I can't deploy this upgrade in the night, without user approval, because I don't know the status of many CAD/developer workstations, his job active, his open files and so on. I have tried many different configuration about deployment type, exit code, user experience, custom settings, maintenance window, deadline, but in all of case if I configure a deploy "Install->available", the user can start the upgrade from Software Center, but after the installation the user can leave the computer without restarting, because there is no countdown window. Otherwise, if I try one deploy with "Install->required", it don't work like I would, because yes there is a countdown window at the end, but the user cannot choose when start the installation and if the user try to start the installation between the available time and the deadline, the installation has the same behavior of the install-available, i mean he don't force a reboot. I think that in my case the only solution should be "Install->available", but is there a way to show the user something like a countdown window or a different way to obtain the result Thanks in advance

  6. Hi to all, I deploy Windows 7 Enterprise x64 Eng with SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 The image master includes multilanguage setup in ITA, FR, DE, JP and CH (semplified and traditional). When I start the Image capture wizard from CD the Default input language is "Italian". After I Install this captured image on other PC's (after sysprep run) the Default input language is misconfigured, for example in CH language (keyboard). I want to configure the default input language in Italian for all new user in this image deployed. How can I setup this parameters? tnx a lot Alex

If I install the agent on subnet into Primary Site all work fine :-) (Manual Install) But if I try to install the SCCM Agent into one client in Secondary Site, the setup failed. 9. Hi, I Have a central site server Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 with SCCM 2007 Sp2 with R3 and SQL Server 2008 Standard Ed. All site system are configured on this server. There is no other child site server. The only client is one Windows 7 that I have configured for testing and I don't care about this client..:-) I need to uninstall the site server because i want to reinstall it with another Site code. What are the best practices for this activity? tnx in advance...;-) Ale
  10. Hi, it's possible install a new central site SCCM 2007 in my domain leaving untouched the central site SMS 2003? I don't want to migrate now all resource client (W2K, WXP, Win2003) to SCCM 2007, but only few client Win7 and Win2008R2.
