  1. We are having the same issue and we do have the SUP setup and working. The updates will not install as part of the Install Updates step in the TS (yes, they are advertised as required and to the Image Deployment Collection) BUT after the TS completes and the system is logged on as local admin they DO auto install from the SUP. So now we are trying to figure out how to add a step to "auto logon one time as administrator" at the end of the OSD TS. Any suggestions on tweaking the step in the TS OR adding the auto login to the last reboot step? Thanks Val
  2. Thanks for this thread, it's nice to see these all in one place! Note to above: 0x8004005 This can be any kind of connectivity issue from a loose lan cable to a bad port, along with the clock issues mentioned above. Here are a few more we have encountered: 0x80070032 - partition issue, run diskpart utility 0x80091007 - believe it or not, this often is due to a faulty stick of RAM, replace ram and error goes away.
  3. Our original install of SCCM 2007 sp1 was done by a vendor so I am in the dark as to how the setup was done. We are now in the process of upgrading to SP2 as well as installing all new servers to house our distribution points at each remote location. This has created several questions that I am not finding answers to in the stuff I have read... 1) Since we are doing both processes, will it save any time/effort to wait until after the upgrade to SP2 to create the new dist points? 2)Where in SCCM do I make the new servers "protected site systems"? 3) After making them Protected and pointing the paths to the new servers, is copying the 2 folders "SMSPKGD$" and "SMSSIG$" (the packages and the .tar files)all that I need to do? Or is there an install that needs to be done on each dist point? Thanks in advance for any info anyone can provide, I got dropped into this in the middle and am trying to figure it all out:-)
