So I found on another forum that the sccm 2012 report is named History of a task sequence deployment on a computer. Looking at this report I see that Setup Windows and ConfigMgr completed, then a reboot, then nothing. The task sequence seems to be stopping after the reboot and never resumes.

I'm troubleshooting an OSD task sequence but my smsts.log seems to stop logging at some point. The task sequence makes it past install sccm agent because the smsts.log is in c:\windows\ccm\logs. Also, the nice report from sccm 2007 (Status of a specific task sequence advertisement for a specific computer) seems to be dumbed down for 2012 as it doesn't even tell which steps were completed; it only states that a step was completed.

Without knowing what resources you've configured for this VM it's hard to say if this is normal or not. Have you taken a look at the hardware requirements for SCCM2012? They are pretty beefy.

Current environment: Existing sccm 2007 site New sccm 2012 site I have both a 2007 and 2012 SCCM site installed. The sccm boundaries do not overlap between the two sites. Both sites are published to AD. The issue I have is that after an OSD task from the 2012 sccm the sccm client is installed but not assigned to the site. After the OSD is finished, I can open configuration manager from the control panel and click the discover site button and it finds the correct site. After this all is well. The sccm client install package uses the following install options: "/noservice /MP:<my FQDN sccm server> SMSSITECODE=HC1" I don't have the 2012 sccm site published in DNS or WINS but I didn't want to if I didn't have to.

I'm wondering how others are managing patches within OSD. For example, I have different images, with the same OS, that I maintain that may or may not have the same patch requirements. I see no good way to group patches to specific task sequences.

This issue is resolved. The problem was that I was using an IP network as a boundary. When I used an AD site as the boundary it worked. I'm sure the boundary I setup as an IP network was correct but it wasn't working. Not sure if this is a bug or something I'm just missing.

New install of 2012 SCCM. I've configured the boundaries and the boundary groups. I've specified an account for network access. I've distributed the boot image to a DP and confirmed it's there. It feels like a NAA problem. Other than configuring the NAA in the SCCM console do I need to configure folder NTFS permissions somewhere? I'm a little confused since in SCCM 2007 there would be a SMSPKGx$ share but I only see a SMSPKGSIG folder, not a share. Hello, I'm new to MDT 2010 so go easy on me! I'd like to use a WIM captured by ImageX (image is sysprepped and OOBE) to be deployed as a LightTouch deployment. When I import the WIM into MDT 2010 I have a choice of "Setup and Sysprep file are not needed" or to "Copy Windoes Vista setup files..". When I choose not to needed I get an error stating that setup files could not be found; when I choose to copy files and use the OEM Vista CD as the source I get an unattended answer file error. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
