MS_MP_Control_Manager & SMS_Distribution_Manager are marked in Red and i do not have access to start this. Regarding SMS_Distribution_Manager its red as its trying to deploy Visio and its not finding the target or source(this was from long time). First when i use USMT for data migration after booting SCCM windows comeup and then when it tried to prepare network connection (no log file so i thought it might my rights issue), the machine reboots, so i removed USMT to confirm that rest things are going smoothly, so without USMT when i deployed SCCM goes to some extent and gives an error task sequece failed (log file attached). When i verified the log file it states that "Internet MP Hostname' is either missing or empty" not found and somewhere it says "Apply Operating System. The system cannot find the file specified". and many other things. Can you please help me this, have attached the log files for refernce. smsts.log

I want to capture the reference machines and deploy WIn7 OS.I have done that using PXE role and have successfully implemented it. But i have never deployed an image on machine having static IP. There is no DHCP, so how to deploy OS without PXE point. One option is to create a boot media and deploy. Google'd and found that we can we transfer just the boot image (Windows PE) to bootable media and allow the computer to communicate with SCCM to determine which Operating System image to deploy. Can anyone tell how to go with it. Please suggest.

Hi all, I am deploying OS using MDT 2010,till now everything worked fine have successfully image more than 5 machines and today while deploying the image i got the below error.I tried restarting the server,re-configuring WDS again but nothing helped. Hi all, While deploying 7, i need to ensure that the machine uses the same 'ComputerName' present on XP. i.e if the XP machine has host name as 'ABC' after migration from XP to 7 it uses 'ABC' as the host name. any idea how do we go about it.

If we want to target a package on a specific platform then we edit the settings under Requirement tab of the program created. My requirement is that to ensure that the packages which are already created are marked to run on specific platform say All Windows XP. then what changes should i make to automate it. Other simple way is that we can use the predefined collection ‘All Windows XP systems’ or a customized query based collection and target the packages to it. Please suggest if there is any other way where i can automate the enable the program settings

By default it's booting into LiteTouch X86 PE and thats the reason my tasklist is empty but my issue is I dont know how to make it to boot in x64 PE. If I dont import LiteTouch X86 PE in bootimage then while booting in PXE it gives an error, for which i google and it suggest to import X86 and then by default it goes in x86 PE Also i found that when booting litetouch X86 and it must be looking for x64 task sequence or vice-versa. Hence the task sequence is hidden.But i dont how to fix it.Any suggestions.

I am deploying Win 7 image on bare metal machine using MDT 2010. After Windows PE boots up, i provide the user credentials and i find the task sequence wizard blank where i need to select the task sequence created. i foudn article related to it on technet, but that's not helping me. Please suggest. also i am able to run the script from cmd i.e After Windows PE boots up, i click F8 and run the script from the deployment share ,it behaves the same way but if i run the script on some other machine which has OS itworks fine that way.

Installed WDS,but during configuring WDS, it says access denied while create RemoteInstall folder. I am part of admin group also,what could be the issue. Any suggestions.

My application has just stuck up with error 1812 and am unable to proceed ahead. Found that the error is because of another installation in progress,but i checked and found that there is no program running in the background. Please suggest execmgr.log

I deployed application on 4 machines and it got successfully deployed on 3 and remaining one threw an error stating 'Waiting for content'. checked the log file but couldnt dig more information.
