Besides using HTA's (someday I hope to be of that skill level) How could I get a prompt to come up for %targetuser%?

Hello, I was curious if there is a variable to add specified domain user to the administrators group. I have the OSDComputerName variable setup and appreciate the ability to change the computer name before running through my task sequence. I would like to have the same functionality with user permissions. Ok, not a go on the screen shot - Here is a list of what's coming up stopped: SMS_AD_SYSTEM_DISCOVERY_AGENT SMS_AD_SYSTEM_GROUP_DISCOVERY_AGENT SMS_NETWORK_DISCOVERY SMS_SITE_BACKUP SMS_WINNT_SERVER_DISCOVERY_AGENT All other are green. General SCCM question: Are the currently advertised task sequences individual files that are pushed to local distribution points or are they settings in the database? The reason I ask, aren't you able to export/import task sequences?

Update - Restarting SMS_EXEC service updates the task sequences available via PXE This is easier than rebooting the server but not ideal. We've seen some other issues with changes in the console not showing in queries until after restart, anyone know what menu/options controls this?

Hello, Thank you for such a great forum. Here's my problem: Changes made in the console to advertised task sequences aren't reflected when I PXE boot and run them again. I've also tried making new ones and unless you reset the server they don't show up. What I've tried: Creating a new task sequence and advertising it - updating collection memberships and restarting the WDS on the distribution point Deleting already advertised task sequences - the PXE boot task sequence wizard still shows them as available Where does sccm store advertised task sequences? Are they distributed like application packages to the local dp's? Or is it the database and it's not updating the changes made in the console? Thank you for any insight in advance, Shaun
