^ New media with a valid certificate will need to be created. Folks, would appreciate a little help with this one, despite new certificates in Pxe and Boot I'm still getting the above error message when booting to pxe, I've even gone as far as renewing the boot images and also the main OS image to no avail. Certificates are not blocked and the live certificates both don't expire until 2016. Rob

MDT TS and Boot Image Problems
Rob MacLennan replied to Rob MacLennan's topic in Configuration Manager 2012
So I recreated the boot image (MDT) have confirmed this time that the drivers are present after a fresh DP update was carried out, sadly though the client machine still fails to boot despite the driver being there. I know this is pointing at the wrong driver being used however I'm certain it is correct given that it works on my 2007 box... Given I know the driver is identical, that I can boot it on another environment, do I have any other options to consider in my 2012 environment? Rob -
MDT TS and Boot Image Problems
Rob MacLennan replied to Rob MacLennan's topic in Configuration Manager 2012
Ok, so even though the process tells me it is updating the DP do it again manually? I was certain I was using the correct DP / Boot wim going to double check just to be sure. Thanks. -
Hi I'm having an issue where I have created an MDT Boot Image and TS in SCCM 2012, basically I'm trying to add a driver in for the boot image, however after SCCM tells me it has successfully update the boot image and I burn the boot image onto DVD as standalone media I'm met with the "Failed to find a valid network adapter" Now that really tells me that I'm using the wrong nic driver, however if I do exactly the same in another environment I have available to me (SCCM 2007) it boots perfectly well and without errorl I have looked into the bootwim, manually mounting and running a get-drivers to see if the drivers are installed and they are. Anything else I should consider? Ps As a side note, anyone had a play with standalone USB builds when the TS is an MDT one???

SCCM 2007, Software Update, Patch Un-Install
Rob MacLennan posted a question in Software Update Point
I appreciate that we cannot use a reverse deployment to uninstall a patch, however can anyone point me in the direction of a reasonable guide on how to un-install a patch which is causing me problems on the estate. I understand that it will be done using a software deployment just want to lesson the amount of time it takes me to complete. Its Win 7 x64, Office 2010 SP1 and the patch concerned is MS12-079 -
Well, i currently have a zero touch build for windows 7 and I'm trying to work on the options available for rebuilding clients..
-
Is it possible to have a zero touch rebuild using SCCM OSD?
-
Work in progress approx 45% complete of 1300 machines, Win 7 x64 using OSD in SCCM.

Thanks for the information, I actually have the HTA that I would like to use, I'm going to try and link this in with the Deployment Task Sequence. Rob

Hi Thanks for the reply. I want the HTA so that the machine can be configured to its location as they may not be built onsite. As you'll see from the link it will confirm the IP and loaction by using an MDT lookup for the default gateway. In short to allow the engineer building the PC to confirm its name, select its location (there are 30) and finally and this is the bit I want to discover is to populate into the correct OU without any interaction. Guys firstly I must apologise but I'm having great problems with these HTAs. My environment is SCCM 2007 R3, Deploying OSD using Task Sequence for Win 7. I'm trying to following this guide from the Deployment Guys (here) I have had a few problems: 1. HTA not showing up, MININT screen was appearing until I found the guide on here to turn off. 2. HTA appears, appears to contact DB but the TS takes over and carries on building. Whilst the guides on here are good I'm still having problems, is there, other than on here, any videos, guides and or line by line guides? I know this is probably the most easiest of tasks and I'm probably reading too much into it but pressure is on and would appreciate any further help if available. Q's When I'm uploading the HTA files where should they be and should they follow any special type of structure Is there a manual way of testing these HTAs before going through the whole process of pxe over and over... more to follow.... Hi I'm installing SEP using SCCM 2007 R3 with the command line: setup /s /v"/l*v log.txt /qn RUNLIVEUPDATE=0 REBOOT=REALLYSUPPRESS" The problem I'm having is the package is installing as expected however SCCM is reporting the install as failed: "The program for advertisement "NCT20025" failed ("NCT00056" - "Symantec Endpoint"). A failure exit code of 1 was returned. User context: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Possible cause: Systems Management Server (SMS) determines status for each program it executes. If SMS cannot find or correlate any installation status Management Information Format (MIF) files for the program, it uses the program's exit code to determine status. An exit code of 1 is considered a failure. Solution: For more information on the exit code, refer to the documentation for the program you are distributing." Can anyone advise if there is anything I can do in order to have this install report with an exit code 0 in order that SCCM reports it as correctly installed? Rob
