Two questions The 7zip and Firefox are applications, which I can easily add/change an icon. Is there a similar process or method to make the "programs" from Packages have icons? 2nd question - Some of my applications don't show icons in Add/Remove Programs, While this doesn't really cause any issues other than it is less aesthetically pleasing, I am curious has anyone else come across this, and if so, is there a fix?

Good Morning, Following the instructions here, I've attempted to replicate this same process with installing Windows 10 1607 LTSB. It does not apply the custom menu I exported. The log file contain any notice of failures for the package applying. I am using the copyprofile method (that I created my reference image using), is this causing issues?

Hi Experts, We are currently implementing SCCM Current Branch 1702 afresh for one of our customers replacing BMC Marimba, and it was only a week back that we were informed about another existing installation of SCCM in one of the regions. They are using SCCM 2012 SP2.for managing patching for both server and desktop endpoints, with one Primary site and 8 distribution points. Now in our current implementation, we are looking to manage approximately 10000 endpoints and 1500 servers via a standalone Primary with additional management server and multiple secondaries in remote locations and distribution points in smaller branch offices. My question is how can we merge both these hierarchies and bring them up to the latest i.e. 1702 and then finally upgrade to 1706? Now, i understand that schema extenstion is a forest wide activity and since SCCM is already installed do I have to still extend the schema? Is there any change in attributes with current branch.

Good morning, I am trying to understand supercedence of an application, and I have a few questions... 1. Will I need to have Multiple applications for Supercedence to work? (for example: Firefox 52, Firefox 53, Firefox 54) If so, then the application list looks "junky" as it would have multiple copies of the same files?? 2. Will utilizing supercedence take up more disk space? (I assume if I have to keep at least current version / old version? or will it auto delete it) 3. If there is a nice guide, could someone point me in the direction of it? Thanks

Hello and thanks for taking the time to read and maybe help! My current setup consists of: Server 2012 R2, Sql 2012, and SCCM Current Branch (1606) about . I am replacing this all with: Server 2016, SQL 2016, and SCCM 1702. Yes i said "Replacing" not upgrading or migrating. I am trying to preform a complete Cut over to a new primary site. I want a clean slate. I have found all kinds of guides to migrate and upgrade, but nothing on steps to take to preform a complete cut over? My question is, once i have everything built (Installing Sccm 1702 as i type this) what steps should i take to eliminate my previous site and distribution point, and re-associate all my clients with my new site? As well as anything else i may be initially forgetting? Thanks again everyone!

SCCM 1702 Server 2012 R2 Windows 10 Devices Windows Firewall Off on All Devices Hi all, Having some real issues installing the SCCM Client onto my physical windows 10 devices, one is a Surface pro 3 and the other Fujitsu hardware. When i push the client the process never starts and if i run the a manual installation (ccmsetup.exe /mp:SCCMSERVER /logon SMSSITECODE=MYSITECODE) the client does install but if not assigned to any MP and the button to 'Find Site' is greyed out so can not be configured manually? The strange thing is i have been able to install it via push on a Hyper V Windows 10 machine i newly created. Please help ccmsetup.log

I've created an application to install Mozilla Firefox. What I am trying to do is be able to Install either the Rapid Release version or the Extended Support Release version based upon which version a computer already has installed. I created the application and two deployment types that use registry based detection for the default key with a version #. (54.0 for RR and 52.2.0 for ESR). How can I prevent one then the other from installing, or specify that only the matching one that the client has will get installed? (I attempted to do this, and it installed the ESR, then the RR version). Thanks!

I am trying to add a CAS to a stand along primary server and I get to the point where it is asking for the Path to the SQL Server data file and the Path to the SQL Server Log file, but doesn't proceed any further. If the SQL server is remote, does it still use a local C:\... path, and would it be the path on the remote server or local...SQL is installed as a default instance on another server called xwz. Won't go past screen shot below.
