Program compatibility Assistant when closing the sccm client (5.00.7958.1000)

Hi All,

 

I recently upgraded our SCCM server to SCCM 2012 R2.

When I open the SCCM client on Windows 7 x86 (via the control panel), I receive the following messagebox after closing the SCCM client:

 

 

No messages appear in the event viewer.

 

Both clients 5.00.7958.1000 and 5.00.7958.1101 have this problem.

The x64 sccm client is working fine.

 

Is there someone with the same problem? How did you solve this issue?

We got the same issue since R2. I was actually analyzing the problem and found the reason, but no solution yet.

For some odd reasons, the application is trying to access the file “C:\Windows\inf\setupapi.app.log”. That’s where the compatibility assistant is being triggered.

 

 

I didn't open a MS support case though. Just waiting for the next CU.

Just installed CU1 for SCCM 2012 R2.

The issue isn't resolved
