Help create new report

I have been asked to create a new report that is limited to Windows XP clients that shows the computer name, memory installed, hard drive size and processor speed. I'm unsure of how to do this. Can anyone point to a good resource on creating reports or show me how to do it?

Is this for CM07 or CM12? Have you look at the built-in report for example Upgrade Assessment - Windows 7

CM12R2. I don't see that report anywhere. Where can I find it?

In CM12R2 the SSRS folder is called Upgrade Assessment.

Ok, thanks. Do you know if there is a way to add the processor type (PIII, P4, Celeron, etc.) to that report?

Sure you can edit the report and add it. You will find the Processor name under the v_GS_PROCESSOR in the Name column.

I guess my question is - how? I'm editing the report in SQL Server Report Builder but how do I add the field to it?

Have you edited a report before? if yes then adjust the query to add the new view and column, then add the column to the table. if not then this is a much bigger task.

No, I have never edited any reports before.

I hate to say it but this is not a 5 minute task that can be easily explained within a forum. My first recommendation to you is to learn how to edit/write SQL queries, without that there is nor poihnt at looking at Report builder.
