mikedisd Posted February 26, 2014 Report post Posted February 26, 2014 We currently have a standalone primary SCCM 2012 SP CU3 site that has become problematic and flaky for a while and needs to be rebuilt. I intend to build a new server with SCCM 2012 R2 and migrate all the applications, task sequences etc. What's the simplest / most painless way of achieving this? Should I build the new server with a new site code, copy across apps etc and then incrementally move subnets/physical sites and DPs, or; Expand the existing primary site and install a CAS, then add the new SCCM server as an additional primary site. After the migration, remove the old primary site and then the CAS. Or is there simpler alternative? Thanks
Peter van der Woude Posted February 26, 2014 Report post Posted February 26, 2014 When the site is not functioning as it should be, then there is not another option. Otherwise it could be an option to restore a backup. You first option is the best/ easiest from the two.
