dastrix Posted March 20, 2014 Report post Posted March 20, 2014 Hi Guys and Gals, I have a problem with Windows 8.1 Deployment, i have deployed the os with no real problems. I am getting approx 3 or 4 bits of software installed and nothing else will deploy. Looked and looked at the logs and dont seem to see any errors that matter. If we go to software center we see 3 peices of software and nothing else these deploy, packages seem to be working its just applications. I have checked the software to make sure it is allowed on windows 8.1 etc. We have windows 7 applications deploying fine and showing up in Software Center just not for the Windows 8.1, if i need to show logs to assist i will asap. Edenost Posted March 20, 2014 Report post Posted March 20, 2014 Have you been seen this one? http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/8224-applications-not-showing-up-in-software-center/ Also, have you checked the other tabs in software center? is it already installed? Try refreshing the deployment as well?

Peter33 Posted March 21, 2014 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 Did you also check the limiting collection of your deployment collection?
Edenost Posted March 21, 2014 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 Ok, you checked the log file in that post? Are the applications deployed to a user or device collection?
dastrix Posted March 21, 2014 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 User applications are in the application catalog with no problems, if i click to deploy them they are fine. Device applications are the problem, available applications show up, its required deployments that are not showing up at all. The computers in question are in both the limiting collection and the collection for the deployment.
Edenost Posted March 21, 2014 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 Hmm, not much luck then!! Damn. I found this post, which may help? Not sure if you've seen/tried it? http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/4447c19b-833f-4cbf-9168-ddd337383713/application-deployments-not-appearing-in-software-center-related-to-wmi-namespace-client-check?forum=configmanagerapps Part One: 1.) I had to remove the advertisement of the application from all the collections the application was advertised to. 2.) I had to update the content of the application. If you are unsure how to do this, click on the application you want to update content for, click on the deployment types tab at the bottom of the console, alt click on the Deployment type, and update content. Wait for it to redistribute to your Distribution Points. 3.) Re-advertise to the collections. Part Two: 1.) Removed the Machine from the SCCM Database. This is done by clicking on devices under the Assets and Compliance node and deleting it. It will remove it from any collection memberships as well. 2.) Restart the computer so it would re-register with SCCM. 3.) If it doesn't re-register promptly, you may need to make sure that the client isn't stuck in Provisioning Mode. This is where on the client where it says Client Certificate is set to None. To fix it if the client is stuck in provisioning mode, you will need to modify two registry settings. HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\CCM\CcmExec \ProvisioningMode should be set to "false" \SystemTaskExcludes should be blank Restart the client
dastrix Posted March 21, 2014 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 That causes issues as there is about 40 applications to remove, this has got to be something to do with the client as its only windows 8 machines all our windows 7 machines are working perfectly. Edenost Posted March 21, 2014 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 In the software center, has it picked up the policies on the computers? Does it show "IT Organization" at the top right, or does it have what ever you use?
