shockwave Posted April 22, 2014 Report post Posted April 22, 2014 thanks, I've looked into the sql server reporting manager. I can't find the reports database in SQL Server Management studio so I assumed it didn't exist I tried to create a new db but the db ReportServer exists after all. I found it in the folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA. I got this error when I tried creating a db that already exists. System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Cannot create file 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA\ReportServer.mdf' because it already exists. Change the file path or the file name, and retry the operation. CREATE DATABASE failed. Some file names listed could not be created. Check related errors. at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlInternalConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.ThrowExceptionAndWarning(TdsParserStateObject stateObj) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.Run(RunBehavior runBehavior, SqlCommand cmdHandler, SqlDataReader dataStream, BulkCopySimpleResultSet bulkCopyHandler, TdsParserStateObject stateObj) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.RunExecuteNonQueryTds(String methodName, Boolean async) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.InternalExecuteNonQuery(DbAsyncResult result, String methodName, Boolean sendToPipe) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() at Microsoft.ReportingServices.Common.DBUtils.ApplyScript(SqlConnection conn, String script, ICommandWrapperFactory commandWrapper) at Microsoft.ReportingServices.Common.DBUtils.ApplyScript(String connectionString, String script) at ReportServicesConfigUI.SqlClientTools.SqlTools.ApplyScript(String connectionString, String script) If I create a new database for reporting, should it be in native mode or sharepoint mode? shockwave Posted April 26, 2014 Report post Posted April 26, 2014 In Reporting Services Configuration Manager I've moved it to a new database. Then it worked in SCCM. Thanks
