Report query missing files

Hello,

 

my boss request that i made a report (sccm 2012) who show missing files in one distribution point (selected in a list) which was compared to a list of files(packages id) that have to been present in dp.

Have you looked at the built-in report under the Software Distribution - Content category?

But my request is to verify if all files ( wim image , drivers, package, app,....) needed for the TS for install the OS for a computer in selected DP (because we have more that 50 DP , so selected menu would be great).

So have to compare the needed content to verify if these files are in a dp and return the one who missing in DP .

 

Maybe i have to take one of the content query, copy it and modify it .

There is no way to do that. However you can determine what Packages are not on the right DPS. See the built-in reports under Task Sequence - References.

ok thx this one is very good, but i have another question i want to filter my package by administrative categories and searched in a sccm 2012 database view i found in blog of technet, but dont know the column i have to take or maybe there are already abuilt-in report available.

I'm not following you, what are you trying to do? Why do you care about Admin categories?

We have for application 10 categories and want a report who show this column, when we list one DP .

 

And it's not me , it's my boss who want to see this column and have the ability to filter the result by category.

What does application categories have to do with DPs?

 

If you have to draw this report what would it look like? What would the prompts look like?

Because we want to able filter by these Admin categories to show the number of them i think he want that.

 

the raw report is with only show the complete pakage;

select pk.name, psu.PackageID, psu.ServerNALPath as 'DistributionPoint' , psu.InstallStatus as 'status'
from v_PackageStatusDistPointsSumm psu inner join SMSPackages pk
on psu.PackageID=pk.PkgID
where psu.InstallStatus like 'Package Installation complete'
order by pk.Name asc

But we will be satisfied with the package name, pk id, site code of dp, pk size, pk status (failed,pending,complete) and the admin categories and order by admin categories.

compare standard DP with newly created DP to find the missing packages ? this should get you started.
