Unique01 Posted May 13, 2014 Report post Posted May 13, 2014 Want to build a Report, based on the default " Software, Companies and Products - Computers with a specific Product", not to show the computers with a specific product, but without a specific product. Thought it would be easy, but it's not as easy as it seems... Lets say i want to find all machines without VLC... Any ideias would be much appreciated. Mats Posted May 14, 2014 Report post Posted May 14, 2014 Im no good in the report builder but I have a "dirty" way of doing it without the report builder 1. create a collection for machines that contains the unwanted SW. 2. Create another collection that includes all systems and excludes the unwanted SW collection. 3. Use a standard report that lists the computers in a collection and target the collection above
GarthMJ Posted May 14, 2014 Report post Posted May 14, 2014 Use a subselect query. search my blog for "subset" www.smsug.ca, there are three blog post, 1 to explain subselect (called subset in my blog) ; one for how to do it within SQL and one for WQL.
