guyver78 Posted May 20, 2014 Report post Posted May 20, 2014 I currently have SCCM2012R2 installed on Windows Server 2008R2 and a SQL Server 2008R2 instance installed on a separate Windows Server 2008R2. I would like to Install a new SCCM 2012R2 on a new Windows Server 2012R2 that will also run a SQL server 2012 instance on the same server and have a new site code. I'm not too worried about the current data that I have in the current SCCM 2012R2 Server. I can set up all the automatic deployment roles and all my OSD task sequences all over again that is not the problem. What I wanted to know is what is the best way of pointing all my current clients to the new SCCM 2012R2 Server that will have the new site code? Group Policy? I will be going from SCCM 2012R2 to SCCM 2012R2 so the current client on all workstations will be the same version as the new Server with the new site code. What are best practices when attempting this? Has anybody done this yet?

Peter van der Woude Posted May 23, 2014 Report post Posted May 23, 2014 Either run a script from your old site to assign them to the new site, or reinstall the clients.
