Config_Mgr_noob Posted June 3, 2014 Report post Posted June 3, 2014 Hi, I am attempting to deploy windows updates via ADR. I set the Evaluation Schedule to run every Tuesday at 12pm. However, after the initiate deployment, the Software Update Group deployment Scheduling changes from As soon as possible to a Specific time. Below are the screenshots for both the ADR and Software Update Groups settings. Why would this change? Also, ever since the timing has changed so has the deployment for the updates. So in other words, the updates do not get applied until the deadline has been reached. Any suggestions?
Config_Mgr_noob Posted June 5, 2014 Report post Posted June 5, 2014 Any input can anyone here provide?
Peter33 Posted June 5, 2014 Report post Posted June 5, 2014 Well, since "as son as possible" is not a valid schedule at all (it's not a specific time value), the ADR sets the time of the moment when it is finished. This value represents something that can be compared to maintenance window time values, for the easy math.
Config_Mgr_noob Posted June 5, 2014 Report post Posted June 5, 2014 Got it, I figured that was the case. But will it continue to deploy at the same time the following Tuesday?
Peter33 Posted June 6, 2014 Report post Posted June 6, 2014 Yes, it will update the schedules depending on the runtime of the ADR. Maybe it will differ by 1 or 2 minutes.
