Extract MSI?

I have an application that is an EXE. If I open it with 7zip, I see a .rsrc folder, .text file, .orpc file, etc. Is there a way to extract an MSI from the file?

Not all executables contain a MSI.

This folder structure sounds like an Install Shield installer.

Run the EXE as Admin without proceeding the installation and check the %temp% folder of the Admin for the extracted MSI. Usually located in some cryptic subfolder. Just sort by creation date.

 

You can also try isxunpack from this site. Does not work for every Install Shield version.

Thanks. That doesn't appear to work so I guess I will try to figure out a way to silently install with the exe.
