Please re-install a copy of the above file" Solution: Insert the Windows XP CD, reboot computer with it in, choose option R for recovery console then copy d:\I386\Driver.cab c:\system32\ntoskrnl.exe /v where d: is the drive letter of your cdrom drive if using a Swedish OS (or non-english) try leaving the /v out once copied, type Exit to exit and remove the cd. Thank you for the help. Just, in my case i had to modifed the command. This copy d:\I386\Driver.cab c:\system32\ntoskrnl.exe /v For copy d:\I386\Driver.cab c:\windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe /v Maybe in the computer c:\windows was not added in the PATH. 0 Prajwal Desai Posted September 14, 2011 Report post Posted September 14, 2011 you must replace same version of ntoskrnl thats contained in the oS in which it has to be replaced. when you look at the file verison of ntoskrnl, it also shows the HAL.dll file.
