Good morning Folks

Hello anyweb :)

The last two weeks i installed a Windows Server 2008 with all prerequirements to install SCCM 2007. I found ur Guide and followed exactly ur Instructions to Install and Configurate my SCCM 2007 Server in my LAB Environment. I have to say that ur Guide is realy amazing and took away alot of Work! It was realy easy to install my Server with ur advises!

But it does not realy work as it should... I tried to fix the Problem for a week but i couldnt find any Solution in the Internet...

Here's my Problem and if someone knows any solution it would be great! :D Next week i've got holidays so im Back on wednesy the 5.08.09 then i have to resolve the Problem...

Installation

- Servername: S01

- Domain: sial.local

- IP / Subnet: 10.0.0.10 / 24

- SQL-Server Instance name: sial

- First Client: c01 (Windows XP Professional x86) 10.0.0.150 / 24

- Second Client: c02 (Windows Vista Business x64) 10.0.0.160 / 24

- I did exactlly follow this Guide to Install SCCM 2007: http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/lofiver...x.php/t487.html

Konfiguration

- I did exactlly the same configuration as u told me to do in ur Guides anyweb:

- Part 1: http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=489

- Part 2: http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=490

- Part 3: http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=491

- Create Package: http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=499

My Problem

- The Remote Acces to both clients works without any Problems

- Both Clients see the Packages in the "Run Advertised Programs"-Client on the clients.

- Both Clients see the Packages in the "Install Software from Network"-Tab in the Software menu of the Control Panel.

- If i try to install any Package this Error appears: errory.th.jpg

- The CAS.log on the clients tell me always this sequenz when i try to to install a Package

- The Boundaries are configured as follow: siterun.th.jpg

- The ConfigMGR Status log shows me this Errors: errorqhy.th.jpg

With this Content:

The content for "SAG00006" - "7562" could not be located. This SMS client will no longer attempt to locate this content.

Possible cause: The content source might not be available on any distribution servers, or the advertisement may have been marked not to run program when no local Distribution Point is available and this SMS client is in remote roaming boundaries of the site. Content source might not be available because the advertisement is configured with the option Run program from distribution point on one or more branch distribution points and is not available on a standard distribution point. Branch distribution points do not support advertisements that are configured with the option Run program from distribution point.

Solution: Use the Manage Distribution Points wizard to distribute the content to a distribution point. If this SMS client is expected to stay in remote roaming binderies then change the advertisement to allow running program from remote Distribution Point. Use the Manage Distribution Points wizard to distribute the content to a standard distribution point if you want to use the option Run program from distribution point.

- Until now i tried 100 times to creat new Destribution Points and Packages.

- It cant be any Network Problems beacuse i can acces the SMSPKGC$ share from the client.

- if u need any Further Informations pls tell me... il Attach some logs below, too: (the first two are server logs the others are client logs)

Thx for ur help

hi there

first of all look at this error

No matching DP Location found

which means it cant find the distribution point,

so did you distribute the package and then update the distribution point for the package ?

and for testing, disable the firewall on the clients for now

and lastly, do an nslookup test from the client

if it's not reporting the domain controller properly then things wont work

oh and one more thing, make sure the client is listed as Client = Yes in the All Systems collection

Hi anyweb, thanks for ur Reply.

first of all look at this error

No matching DP Location found

As i said i did exactly what ur guide told me to do ;) So i made the package as it should be... I remade them many times... I tried to solv this problem arround 2 Weeks, so i recreatet the packages and DPs arround 100 times. It cant be a problem of the DP i think.

and for testing, disable the firewall on the clients for now

already done since begining.

and lastly, do an nslookup test from the client

My Server is the DNS-Server of the Network too... There are no DNS or Network Problems... i can connect from the client to the share where the SCCM stores all his Packages.

oh and one more thing, make sure the client is listed as Client = Yes in the All Systems collection

already checked :)

any other suggestions?

on the client open a command prompt and type

nslookup

then paste the results of that here please

Screenshoot Pastet below.

When you distribute the package to the Distribution Point, what does the SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER say?

This is very strange... The SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER shows a Critical Error Icon but it have no errors or warning in the Eventlog... Screenshot attached below :)
